With Charlton going down tonight surely Bent will now move on especially if he wants to be a England squad regular. Do you think we should go for him? You all know I'd love Saviola to join us but with Bent having Premiership experience behind him maybe he's the safer bet.

Bent > Defoe

Bent has better pace, height, strength, power, teamwork, influence, etc.

Defoe has better...err...

Exactly. :)

EDIT: Oh, and Bent is like 4th or 5th in the Premiership top goalscorers, he's missed half the season through injury AND is playing for a relegated club. :) He owns

Nah. Don't rate him that much tbh. JD is better in my opinion.

Well, look at the points in my original post. That should be enough proof for Bent.

Doyle would be more effective for us than Defoe. He can actually challenge in the air, and he scores for fun, and uses his teammates better.

Ok Bent probably would be a useful signing, but i still have not got a clue how you can think doyle is better than defoe, that is insane.

I'm yet to be convinced by Bent he had a good season last year but hasn't really impressed this. I would prefer him to come in as Midos replacement rather than Defoe as this would retain the big/little balance that M.J likes to play with.

I agree i think Mido will leave and Bent will fill that gap.

The question is can we keep hold of Defoe?

And will he start against Blackburn?

He is better than Mido put it that way. We need to get rid of him this season.

JD is better and I want him to stay especially after last night's performance but if he was to go then Bent is the man to do the job imo and yes he is miles better than Mido.

Was I the only one that thought Ledders had a word with Bent at the end which had Bent smiling?

Would love him at Spurs, especially with JD probs leaving. He is a great teamplayer and a brilliant striker.
