Everyone seems to forget that Mido was good last season, he hasn't had the best of seasons but he is still fairly young, only 23 in case you didn't know, and has a lot of potential.

Bent would cost to much for us to buy another striker, we have Mido, let's keep him, Bent wouldn't be to expensive, but that money is better spent on a midfielder, we are not in need of a striker now.

Personlly I rate Defoe higher than Bent. I think Bent only betters Defoe in heading.

I don't think Bent will join anyway. There is o way he would break up the Keane - Berbatov partnership and he knows it. He will end up at Newcastle I reckon with Martins going to Inter.

Bent is better than Defoe.

He's playing for Chalrton and has missed half a season, yet is still the Prem's 4th top scorer.

He's quicker than Defoe.
Taller.
More powerful.
More confident.
Less greedy.
Better at holding up.
Better at heading.
Better influence

Etc, etc, etc.

Many reports over the season have seen us linked with Charlton striker Darren Bent, they seem to be coming thick and fast now Charlton have been relegated!

Many people on here keep suggesting Spurs to sign him as our 4th striker or as a replacement for Defoe should he leave.

First of all, i dont believe JD will leave this season and secondly i dont want Bent as our 4th striker.
He's incredably over rated hence the £10mill price tag, dont get me wrong he has scored a fair few goals but i still feel he lacks any common sense for the game i.e. he doesnt see to have the intelligance of strikers such as Berba and Keane!
I would much prefer us to not sign Bent and go after someone with a few more brains!
