        As I have stated in a previous post, if, Voice you want to debate, join a debating society, then you can argue as much as you please with, whoever you please. This is FORUM where Spurs Supporters have the opportunity to voice THEIR OPINIONS, without the fear of being maligned for them. Obviously this somewhat small point appears to have escaped your attention.
 
 

I agree that this forum is about discussions on Spurs topics, which I was trying to do. A certainly wasn’t maligning anybody. In fact I’ve been maligned; but I took that in good spirit. 
When somebody comments I express my opinions, as do people on here do when I voice my opinions. I also respect everybody’s opinions. I also follow the rules of this forum. A forum by nature is a discussion area. Which is exactly what I’ve done, and has been done to me when I’ve voiced my opinions.
I will always stick to the rules of the forum I am on.

I am sorry if some of my responses go off topic and seem boring to you. It is hard sometimes not to bite when certain people make such incredulous claims or statements. I would also like the forum to return to a more pleasant arena to visit. Hence why I had some time away from it recently. What would you like to change, to make SN good again?

Dedley, bolty, UGs more regular, there were stacks, I would like to see the forum go back to what is used to be, good banter, some wit and humour, discussing with passion topics that effect our beloved THFC, pie in the sky dreams and what if's.

I totally understand why things have gone in the direction that they have, i think certain members do not totally respect opinions of others and keep on and on as their view is gosspal until the topic changes or the thread gets locked or dies.

Having input and varying views is great its what the forum is all about but i think writing essays is not in the interest of the majority especially when views become somewhat insular and directed at only a single member

As old members seem reluctant to return, we could use some new members with different views and what's more important, members who could contribute while accepting views of others, without belittling, patronizing and offending other members and without trying to paint every white into black and vice versa.

I mean members who would start interesting threads which wouldn't always end up with a debate about Levy, Villas-Boas, not-good-enough players or our former manager who is now managing a Championship club from London.

I've been here for ages, basically since the beginning, so has Southend_Yid, sadly Biggs cannot come around more often. Yes, it used to be a great place with different threads, different people etc. People used to get along and there wasn't any trouble. I don't want to sound like one of the 'oh-times-are-not-what-they-used-to-be guys', but things were better. I can honestly say we've had three or four bad apples throughout years and it seems that they have succeeded in bringing this forum down. Obviously there could be and probably are other reasons (family commitments etc). I still love SN and that is why I still come here and try to contribute and keep an eye on things. Sadly the things are mostly the same old, same old. But, I guess this has nothing to do with Baldini, so let's continue this elsewhere.

Some times it is hard to engage what a forum wants. I always look at the rules and then follow their guidelines.

As for writing "essays" I think quite a few do that. Also; opinions are never popular if they disagree with some one. Unless you have draconian rules, which will scare people off, it is hard. I can understand people's concerns but all one can do is follow the rules that have been set down by the founders.

I run my own forum and it can be a hard balancing act. Recently we tightened the rules and people left. So I can understand the dilemma the forum admin has.

Started a new thread in the correct section to allow this one to get back to Baldini.

Although there were a number of failures by both Comolli and Arnesen in the transfer market there were some undoubted successes. The players below were all brought in by a director of football.

Dawson, Bale, Berbatov, Modric, BAE, Boateng (okay not good for us, but doing well now, maybe should have kept him), Corluka, Huddlestone (who used to be good),

I know there were some flops as well, (Bentley, Ghaly, Rocha etc) but that is true of managers as well.

I think the key to this working is for AVB and Baldini to have a good relationship and that all parties involved are pulling in the right direction.

If it works then it could be the best thing to happen to Spurs. I am willing to give it a chance first, before condemning it.

I agree; if you don't like somebody's replies then ignore them. Only if that person is abusive then action needs to be taken. If the forum is to grow you can't expect nicey-nicy.

I think we can be sure about the "good relationship". So good, in fact,that Baldini almost managed to pursuade AVB to come to a very troubled and volatile club like Roma. Baldini seemed to be a very positive influence at Roma, and was often the one sent out to handle the rabid press which he always handled with style.  So, for me, it's bad news for my second club, but good news for Tottenham. And if we're really lucky, he'll bring Pjanic with him. If we want a Modric replacement, look no further.
