Didn't Bentley score twice from free kicks last season?

I think he scored direct from a free kick in the 9-1 game. I cant remember another one but quite likely and I think Bale may have done it a couple of times to.

Bentley's the only one that's done it during the last 2 seasons.... I dont think |Bale has during the last 2...

still, its hilarious how the herd just try and bulldoze thru any chink whether perceived or real in the Jenas armour.... really trying hard to put the guy down yet again as per usual...

FYI Jenas too has scored from at least 2 direct freekicks in his Spurs career... the Utd game in 05 and another 1 that season against a minor team... and he hasnt taken that many direct freekicks at goal for the last 3 seasons..

Its not anti Jenas. You asked us to name players who have scored direct from free-kicks and we obliged. Nothing to do with Jenas just a statement of fact. Jenas is a decent player, but he's not the Messiah in fact sometimes he's a very naughty boy. Who goes missing when he's supposed to be playing football.

Im pleasantly surprised with JJ's turn around. It wasn't long ago under the Great MJ that JJ was Our BEST player 2 Seasons running ! When he arrived I really thought with a bit time & experience in Our set-up he had all the right ingredients to not only be Our Captain but Our answer to Stevie G ! Though of late (before this Season) I would be the 1st to complain if he was even on the bench let alone the 1st 11 ! As he had been truly AWFUL, sadly that role has been taken over by Sarge (he's had it V tough, I don't know if mentally he's yet ready to be playing?). Once Our defence is at least 75% fit & Thudd is back in CM JJ's role will only be that of rotation. Our Best 11 is  Gomes; Kaboul, Daws, King, Bale; Lennon, Thudd, Sandro, Modric; VDV; JD. So all you JJ haters you can rest assured, cause we've yet to have a fully fit Squad (no change there !) so get used to JJ every now & then (prob today) COYS

you too have obviously bought into the 'hype' around Jenas... you say he was awful before his long-injury layoff last season..... what about the season before then, from the time Arry joined in Dec'08 Jenas was playing superbly for the rest of the season when we showed Top4 form for about 4 months..

Jenas when fully-fit is a regular for Spurs.... that will not be changing anytime soon..

Jenas at top form is a good asset to ANY team, the only thing I woukd question is his desire!

Jenas playing better now he is not a first team regular.  Good player to have in the odd game and from the bench

it wont be Jenas missing from CM this season... its gonna be Modric (who will only occasionally play there, and play mostly either RM or LM when Lennon or Bale rested)..

Great win today, i am surprised we managed it without the very naughty boy.

Why is this thread still running? The balloon everyone answers to couldn'y give a f*ck, he just likes the attention.

I like to think of him as the attention pussy, albeit one ugly f**ker of a pussy.
