I swear I only read the other day that Fabiano was definitely staying put, now Bryan Ruiz's arrival is imminent his comments about us are contrary to this, he is quoted in the Express saying: “I feel that I could fire them to the finish above Ars*nal I know the club and fans so desperately want. “I truly believe in the next two seasons Spurs can win the Premier League or European Cup. I’d love to be a part of it – I just need to know that they value me as one of the world’s top strikers.” Full article and link below, what do you think? just tabloid nonsense from someone who knows exactly what we want to hear? This all could be irrelevant however as he is cup tied if Sevilla win their home leg, v Braga, which I believe they will.
Also I am not going to jump the gun as his wage demands would be a huge stumbling block, especially considering he says “I believe myself to be one of the top strikers in the world and you just need to look at the deals players like David Villa, Samuel Eto’o and Didier Drogba are on,” he added. Furthermore “My next contract will be my last one, or at least my last big one, and I have to take that into account. My goal record in La Liga speaks for itself.”I just need to know that they value me as one of the world’s top strikers.” Sounds like he wants one last big pay check, and I really don't think we will give it to him, and at the moment he is cup tied, but if Sevilla dont make it past Braga and we do with Young Boys, then I say break the 'piggy bank' for one big transfer, and also we will have to increase our wage limit if we ever are going to attract any world class 'Torres' like players then it is going to have to happen some time, but not to be held for ransom, we can't offer him anything like Villa, Eto, and Drogba, but definitely a decent pay packet around 90k. Yes I am well aware of his age, but if he can fire us into the top four again, or through the group stages of CL then it really doesn't matter, he is undoubtedly a world class striker, and we are crying out for someone like him, not finishing of City season opener and several other lower table sides last season is damning evidence of this.

http://www.givemefootball.com/premier-league/brazil-ace-declares-interest-in-premier-league-mov?Brazil hitman Luis Fabiano has admitted he would love to play for Tottenham, as his future at Sevilla remains unclear.
Fabiano has been linked with Spurs throughout the summer, with manager Harry Redknapp declaring his interest on numerous occasions.
And, with rumours of Twente’s Bryan Ruiz heading to the Spanish giants, Fabiano could be on his way out of the door.
It had been thought he may have been left out of Sevilla’s Champions League qualifier against Braga this week but he played – potentially lowering his value.
With just one year left on his contract and no way he can play in the Champions League for anyone other than the La Liga side Spurs will not want to part with a lot of money.
However, Sevilla will want to sell because Fabiano has admitted he would love to move to White Hart Lane within the next couple of years.
He is quoted in the Express saying: “I feel that I could fire them to the finish above Ars*nal I know the club and fans so desperately want.
“My next contract will be my last one, or at least my last big one, and I have to take that into account. My goal record in La Liga speaks for itself.”
Fabiano will not come cheap for Spurs, though, because he feels he deserves a contract on par with some of the best strikers in the world.
“I believe myself to be one of the top strikers in the world and you just need to look at the deals players like David Villa, Samuel Eto’o and Didier Drogba are on,” he added.
“I truly believe in the next two seasons Spurs can win the Premier League or European Cup. I’d love to be a part of it – I just need to know that they value me as one of the world’s top strikers.”
