Wesley Sneijder for Spurs?

Ive heard strong rumours from a friend that we are competing with Bayern Munich and Valencia for the signature of the Ajax captain. Surely if this is true he would be a great signing replacing Jenas in midfield. IVe never seen him play though only ever heard about him. Does anyone know how he plays? Is he any good? Opinions?

I don't know much but seen him play a few times...

If he came he would be an immediate replacement for Jenas as they have a similar style of play bt tbh Wesley's better and i think he might be younger. I don't think its worth the hassle though just stick with Jenas for another season.

Haven't seen much of him a few times though know he would be a great signing and we need a replacement for Jenas in midfield. He is a very good player and if we have him in our midfield we will be a team to watch.

what ever next...cristiano ronaldo in a straight swap with danny murphy??..

you never know, we do have the jol conection! plus ajax aren't in there glorly days anymore, and bayern themselves are having a bit of a stumble, whilst spurs seem to be on the up and up. Some dutch flair would be a welcome addition!

Oh my God do you fancy him or something?! Serious I haven't heard this guy is world class before infact a few people who replied in this thread haven't noticed the great power that you say he has. Serious he sounds good if hes linked with Bayern Munich and Valencia but both those teams arent exactly world beaters and they already have class players in his position in midfield anyway. Ajax midfielder Wesley Sneijder has dropped his biggest hint yet that he may be playing his football away from the Amsterdam ArenA next season.

The 22-year-old Holland star has been linked to several clubs over the past few months, with Valencia showing strong interest of late.

Asked by Tele 2 after his side's first-leg champions league play-off defeat to AZ Alkmaar if he could be playing for the Spanish giants next season, Sneijder responded: "That is very possible.

"The correct way of doing things is that the clubs first reach an agreement, after that I can start talking."

Wow, the lack of knowledge is astounding. Maybe you lot aren't aware but this kid is the captain of the Ajax team and is one the the best midfielders in the world. Jenas better? Ha.

First of all the guy is renowned for being totally both footed, I mean totally. He's world class and we would be lucky to get him really.

You must be joking Jenas better no way Sneidjer is way better than him.

He's a great player and if we sign him then I agree we'll be lucky a bit of Dutch flair is needed in our team and I think Wesley fits the bill.
