Ghaly not fit to wear the shirt!
« on: May 10, 2007, 10:03:06 PM »
What an utter disgrace to our football club. In my eyes this idiot has never played for us, he should be erased from our history books and never spoken about again.

Never have I seen anything like this, and quite frankly I am embarrassed for him.

He threw it at Jol? What a tosspot!

Tearing your jersey off and throwing it is bad as it is, but throwing it at the manager is a complete bird-flip at the club AND its fans. In hockey, we call people like those, "cancers," and they're usually gone by the trade deadline. He needs to go. End of story.:lightsabre::ranting::cardR:

I wonder if MJ will stand for this behaviour, all he's ever done is praise Ghaly and was quite right in subbing him tonight as he was playing rubbish! I can't stand disrespectful players, to do that in front of the gaffer and the fans is just not on. Hopefully he'll be off elsewhere.

Shocking antics by the 'amight' Egyptian. I've always stuck up for him, but after tonights performances, no chance. Looked like he wasn't interested, kept giving the ball away in the middle of the park and trying to chip it to Defoe instead of simple passing.
Throwing his shirt at Jol and storming down the tunnel is just taking the piss, being disrespectful to the club, and Jol, and in a way the fans.
Ghaly out, now.

What amused me was, how Ghaly tried several times to chip the ball to Defoe, Keane comes on and does it straight away lol.

Ghalys performance tonight was absolutely useless, he missed every important pass that he tried to make.
Then to add insult to injury ripping his shirt off and throwing it at MJ, what a conceted idiot, he played terrible for 30mins and was rightly subbed.
Get rid of him.

I used to have sympathy for ghaly as i like his style of play but this is a disgrace.  He needs to go to somewhere like Ars*nal, where this kind of behaviour is accepted and encouraged.

Just got back from the game & I fully expected to see this thread started!!
Utter disgrace. He had the worst game I've ever seen. I think I counted on one hand how many passes actually reached a teammate & that's being generous. It was funny when a pass did actually come off & all the fans cheered him...although from Ghaly's point of view, that must've have felt like crap.

Anyway, a player that throws his shirt down in disgust like that doesn't deserve to play (for any team). No way Jol will stand for that behaviour I'm sure. I would be very disappointed if he was included in the squad for Sunday's match & hopefully that's a bye-bye for good.

Ghaly had a bad day so he should've held his hands up & respected the manager's decision. It's not often a sub is subbed but clearly that was the correct tactic as we played so much better after that.

So I guess it is safe to say that there won't be an Egyptian presence at the Lane next year.
Jeez some of us would sever a limb to wear that shirt.

If I were a Spur, the only time I'd take the shirt off is after a huge home win to hold it up to the fans, point to the emblem and shout, "THIS IS WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT, BABY!!" And I most certainly wouldn't throw it to the ground in disgust, especially not after being subbed off in a p!ss-poor effort. That's not what people who are concerned about the success of the team on the whole do.

The old adage is, "there's no 'I' in 'team,'" well, there's no "I" in "football," either. Which is why Ghaly needs to be sent packing. Send him to a team who doesn't care about class, like... BLACKBURN  or SS Nazio or some place like that. It's obvious we don't want him in Tottenham.

Might be for the best. I don`t think he`s ever been good enough for us, if he`s gone next term no problem.
