Ânderson Luís da Silva, (born February 13, 1981 in Amparo, Brazil) is a footballer. He plays central defender for S.L. Benfica and the Brazilian national team. Standing 1.93 metres tall Luisão is practically unbeatable in the air. With fine positional sense and excellent timing in the tackle he is also no mug on the ground. Add to these qualities a happy knack of popping up with vital goals and it's hardly surprising that the Benfica centre-back has pushed his way into the Brazilian national team as well as setting clubs all across Europe buzzing as they try to land his signature.
JR wants Luisao of Benfica. Just got the text from an agent saying this, so sadly no more info than that.

basically benfica have had feelers put out from two clubs in england... guess who?
us and our perennial old transfers buddies, ManUre!
both regarding defenders, although different defenders. he didn't give me names though
apparently united wanted boswinga but he got priced out at porto, so queiroz now wants the benfica rightback

According to reports in the Dutch press, we've already had talks with Ajax regarding a move should Berbatov leave. Source: Channel 5's commentator blokey for their coverage of the Eredivisie.

Would be a quality signing imo. Very tidy player
