Ânderson Luís da Silva, (born February 13, 1981 in Amparo, Brazil) is a footballer. He plays central defender for S.L. Benfica and the Brazilian national team. Standing 1.93 metres tall Luisão is practically unbeatable in the air. With fine positional sense and excellent timing in the tackle he is also no mug on the ground. Add to these qualities a happy knack of popping up with vital goals and it's hardly surprising that the Benfica centre-back has pushed his way into the Brazilian national team as well as setting clubs all across Europe buzzing as they try to land his signature.

JR wants Luisao of Benfica. Just got the text from an agent saying this, so sadly no more info than that.

hi guys... usually a lurker, but heard a bit of goss from a friend well connected in portugal, so thought i'd share the love!

basically benfica have had feelers put out from two clubs in england... guess who?

us and our perennial old transfers buddies, ManUre!

both regarding defenders, although different defenders. he didn't give me names though

apparently united wanted boswinga but he got priced out at porto, so queiroz now wants the benfica rightback

wonder where that puts hutton?

ah well, least they aren't looking at our target

Klass Jan Huntelaar

According to reports in the Dutch press, we've already had talks with Ajax regarding a move should Berbatov leave. Source: Channel 5's commentator blokey for their coverage of the Eredivisie.

Tiago

Ignore the tribal football bit as it's basically come from an Italian newspaper.

Would be a quality signing imo. Very tidy player

I'm brazilian and knows Luisão very well. He won the brazilian league at Cruzeiro.

He's a very good defender, really hard to beat in the air. A very good acquisition to us.

Yeah, I think that too.

He is a quality player and would be superb for us. I do feel he would come also as the EPL is a big step up from the Portuguese league

Great news. Obviously I don't want to see Berba with other colours, but Klass looks a very good replacement.

Yeah, I'm with you

As much as I don't want Berbatov to leave, I feel it is inevitable that sooner or later he will be off to fulfill the dream of any footballer. He has the ability to win trophies and I don't blame him for this.

I am worried that by the summer Klaas may be out of our league so we need to act fast

If Spurs want Klaas they need to act now, regardless of whether Berbatov is going or staying. Big clubs will come lurking in the summer otherwise...

If Spurs wanted Klaas they should have acted last summer and not bothered with Bent.
There's more to life than the bloody Champions League

Giovani Dos Santos

Latest player who we are after. Apparently we have put in a 7m offer and Chelsea have put in a 10m offer.

he is a lil youngster who plays for Barcelona.

im not over exsaurating(sp?) here but... they way the guy play is  identical to ronaldinho. If you don't believe me go and watch a few Vid on him on youtube, he is the next big thing for the Mexico squad.

he even looks like Ronnie

He is very good, potentially world class but don't compare him to Ronaldinho because they play nothing alike, he's also left footed ;) He doesn't try audacious tricks like Ronnie, he's more direct than that and loves to dribble with the ball. Apparently Barce want more like £15m for him.
