Really? We the most hated club in the premier league! According to other fans we are arrogrant fans who live off the past. Doesn't everyone? Personally I don't care that other fans hate us, it just makes away days more fun knowing they generally dislike you.

Not sure how to answer that one.  At least proper clubs like Spurs and Villa HAVE a past.  It does my nut in when the kit stealers talk about "winning the World Cup" or when Chelsea fans pretend they're a big club. Neither of the two I've mentioned have anywhere near the history that our clubs have and yet they go around thinking they do.

The chavs don't know anything about history, never have and never will. As I said though I'm not that fussed about other fans opinions especially when they know nothing about supporting a team through tough times.

I've experienced some tough times but good things come to those who wait (unless your West Ham). Just ask Man City fans how much they're laughing life at the moment! Trips to Madrid and Milan? Wow what days they were.

It will come.

I'm trying to think Who was the last player we brought from Villa and who was the last we sold to them ? None spring to mind but there must have been some over the years.

Good point.  Colin Calderwood?  Kyle Waker (loan) (for now!)

EDIT:  Wayne Routledge?

I think the last player we sold to Villa was David Ginola. Strange there has been so little transfer dealing between 2 such big clubs.

Hi lads.  First and foremost, congrats on your European adventure, you did the country proud.  I hope you don't mind me posting on here Spurs fans are generally up for a bit of banter so I thought it'd be OK.   :-X  As a die hard Villa fan I have to admit that I wasn't looking forward to seeing you lot in the CL after we missed out but you did  very well indeed, so for that, well done.  Now, to Sunday, we have the bindippers at the Villa and you have the Blues at WHL.  Let's do a deal, beat the scum for us and we'll hammer the reds for you, (yes, I know you already did that last week) but just in case!!!  We did a job on the Arse last week (ooh er!) so please, PLEASE, send the noses down and we'll beat the redscouse just for fun.  Once again, congrats on your CL adventure, you did your club and country proud.  At least send the Blues down for us JUST for beating the Frenchies at the Emirates (1st team to do it since you).  Good luck.

Oh, and if you want to see some quality support (you are the best fans that come to VP each year by the way), check this link out from the Villa end at the Emirates last week.  All the Villa were in fancy dress and singing, "Blues came up and they're going straight back down", it went on for the whole game.

Villa vs Ars*nal

GL next season.

Cheers lads!   ;)

Problem is mate that I don't want the Europa cup. Thursday nights and Sundays stink for me. If the Blues go down you will lose your big derby. I am hoping that the bindippers beat your lot (as much as I hate Liverpool) and we draw against the blues but at the same time we get a red card. That way we won't get in through the fair play award.

P.S what ever happened to the famous Villa chip butty ?
AVB OUT, AND TAKE LEVY WITH YOU

I looked up the transfer deals. In the entire history of both clubs we have only had 10 deals. 7 coming to us including the great Danny Blanchflower and 3 going to Villa -  Leonardson, Calderwood and Ginola. Amazing how little there has been when you consider the length of time involved and that both clubs seem to like a deal or two.

Probably because we have been close for a while and we haven't wanted to strengthen each other.

Think its more likely that the Blues will get a red card as I am sure that the ref will recognise their desperation. A 50/50 hard tackle could well count against them. It looks like we have Europa anyway due to the Fair Play position, and if thats the case, we should ensure 5th place to avoid the players atrting the season too early and then getting shattered and failing again in the EPL. I thought Harry was a bit harsh on Defoe about D's comments on the Europa League being a distraction, but thought he was also funny whe  he said "perhaps Defoe is otherwise busy on a Thursday night" .........rmblings of a rift with the prodigal son?

I thought HR was spot on with his comments.
