Always a toughie against Sunderland, but hey, if we really are supposed to be considered as a serious top 4 side, we should be able to turn these teams over at will. See Campbell is likely to be out, so that leaves Malbranque as the ex-Spur probably playing. At least Bent isn't there trying to prove a point to Harry. Worried at the loss of Bale, VDV and Modric, but thats why there are squads I guess. Hope that Kranjcar starts as he is so creative and a fabulous finisher - prefer him to Pienaar. Need a strong central midfielder to be on their game today as Sunderland are a physical side - there have been 4 penalties in the last 3 games between us, and I can see more, and maybe a red card - as we are the visitors, it may be us on the wrong end of those decisions. Hope Pav starts too, bringing on Crouchy if we need that additional dimension later on. Our centre backs need to be at their best and beware the set pieces. We are clearly going to miss the three midfielders out through injury, but if we come out of the blocks fast and take the game to them, we should get a result.
