Definitely. Kaboul was good tonight so I'd be happy with one central defender and a 25-30 goal striker as we are missing Defoe badly.

The problem we have is Ledley King. When he's fit he's great, but his only playing one game a  week is causing us problems. We have plenty of centre backs but no consistency. Kings in, then he's out then he's in again. This is not good for building understanding Kaboul and Gallas looked as though they could form a partnership given a little time, but we all know that next week one of them will be out and King will be back. I think this situation has to be resolved before we can progress. It's a shame because King has been a great asset, but we really need to have a regular pairing at the back playing every week.

striker is the main problem, sometimes we are getting by halves of the game without much attack on us. We need someone who can take those chances were creating and get the goals. Defensively we do need signings aswell but as i have said before Kaboul should have played at Inter he great at tracking and always wins air battles. He's a changed man since he's signed again. G.Cahill would be a amazing sign but if liverpool went even worse id be very up for stealing G. Johnson's services even though we are urgent for center halves

There are a few players that we all thought would be offloaded in the summer, Hutton, Bentley, Jenas, Keane, Dos Santos. But Hutton has played fairly decent part in this season as has Jenas. I think its time to sell Bentley, Keane and Dos Santos and bring in a quality striker because we do have the funds to spend!

Additions required CB and striker an out and out proven goal predator.  LB to give BAE a kick up the arse and challenge for the position.

Desired sell offs, Crouch and Dos Santos if we cant get him to perform which is a dam shame the kids has bags of ability.
THFC "COYS" and that is all I have to say about that!

In the January window I doubt we will do much business coming into the club  due to the fact that there are very few decent players actually available unless you want to pay through the nose. There is always the chance of a big name that might have fallen out with their club or not qualified for the CL or EL next phases, who may be  looking to jump ship but that again is going to cost unless they have some kind of release clause in their contract.

In essence this season is more pivotal than last as players are going to look to see how we fair in the the CL and PL, if we do well and qualify for the next stage of the CL and qualify for the CL again by finishing 4th or above then they are going to be more likely to sign. At the moment we are a one season wonder and need to solidfy our position to entice the better players that are out there. Although saying this we are in a strong position as players we already have speak volumes about where we are trying to go, the likes of Van der Vaart, Modric and now Bale will also help to attract other big names but we must do all we can to keep these players.

As for January a CB to add further cover due to Woodgate and King being always injured or injury prone, and so far Gallas has been more than poor to say the least. A LB to give BAE something to think about as at the moment this is about the only position in the team that has no cover unless you count Bale. Lastly a Striker but this I think may be the last priority as we already have Defoe, Crouch and Pav all 3 are more than capable and with 'Arry playing one up with Van der Vaart we have plenty of cover. The problem with all these signings is that we need to buy better than we already have pointless just buying for the sake of it we already have one of the biggest squads in the Prem and theres no point in clogging it up with journeymen.

There may be some movement out of the club in January as long as Mr Levy gets the right price but again why be hasty when they may be required later on as cover. The likes of Jenas, Bentley, Keane, Dos Santos and Krancjar will all be available I expect if the right price is offered but we need to be wary not to leave ourselves to thin on the ground. I also think that maybe Hutton, Corluka and Palacious my be available if the price is right and the right type of cover can be found, in fact Palacious must be worried already with Sandro performing well in his limited appearances.

Just my thoughts...............
