Harry Hotspur reporting that woodgate OPwas a sucess and could be back in Jan http://harry-hotspur.com/2010/10/woodgate-operation-100-success-glory-be/

i don't know how true it is, no where else is reporting this.

but if this is true, it mean Woodgate could be play a part this season, because you can edit your 25 in Jan

This (if true) is fantastic news for Tottenham but possibly even better news for Woodgate himself.  8D
 
I'm sure the last year must have been an incredably fustrating peroid so maybe to finally see some light at the end of the tunnel for him must feel great. Be good (fingers crossed) to maybe see him in a Spurs shirt again. Top top defender on his day....

As Spurs unfortunately seem to have history with rushing player back to action and then losing them to injury straight away, I really hope Woodgate can get back to full fitness.

Would love to have a fit Woodgate but if i was William Hills i would be offering at least 25-1 that he plays more than 4 games this season.

This is where the 25 man rule will cause problems. If Woodgate is fit in January dare we include him ? Will he make it to May or breakdown after a couple of games ? He can play as many behind closed doors games as he likes but that wont get him ready for the prem. Who do we leave out for him to come in ? It may be best to leave him out this season and let him get fully fit for 11/12. All the time paying him £60,000 a week, nice work if you can get it.

even IF he returns to play, he will be a shadow of his former self... the injury will have left an indelible mark on his mind and he will play very gingerly and thus poorly... also he's now probably 30+ and is gonna decline now albeit even more rapidly than if fully-fit...

I wouldnt play him again.... maybe the United Nations can offer him a diplomatic post in Pakistan...or join the Commission for Racial Equality  :ohyeah:
