Forlan disregards Juventus's alleged interest

As I feared not much hope of securing Forlan , read a few reports where he would turn down any moves from Juventus, if he would turn them down surely he would turn down Tottenham, they definitely are a bigger club than us.........no chance of getting Fabiano either.

Yeah meant historically, read my other post, rumours are Harry said Forlan wants to play for us on the world cup highlights show for friday, so I am not so sure anymore, I actually hope its true.

Resale doesn't matter the slightest if he enable us to go further then qualifying in CL financially is said to be between 30-70m, (surely closer to 30m)  or re qualify for it again, they should be our number one priorities to taking the club forward, otherwise is the new stadium really viable?, we aren't owned by a sheikh like City.


This is allot higher than any resale we might loose on him, sure don't pay over 16-18m for him, he'd still be worth 8-10m in a cpl of years, if Gudjohnsen is worth 5m, they are not even close to the same category of player anymore, both 31 so potential loss of 10 but if we qualify for group stage, net gain of 20m, really resale is peanuts compared to the chance of becoming a club competing with the elite in europe.

Yeah I would pay £15-£18mill for Forlan any more would be heavily over priced

Not much point argueing with you as you obviously don't pay attention, and must not have been watching the world cup, or seen any of him in Spain, or watched him in EUFA, in particular vs Fulham in the final, hes a very different player, he is stronger, bigger and a better he got the golden boot in Spain two years in a row, and has a knack of being exactly in the right place at the same time, this season he managed 18 goals and 6 assists from 31 games, last season he scored 32 from 32 games and got 10 assists this is phenomenal, this world cup he has 2 goals and one assist from 4 games, being one of the form players of the tournament, 2 might not sound like many but last golden boot managed 6, because he failed at united doesn't mean he is a bad player, Berbatov was great for us at united obviously has been a giant flop, to be sucessfull at a club it is not only about being a good player, personally everything has to be right at your new home club and sometimes moves don't work which can be for many reasons, could be as simple as didn't get along with the manager, Forlan is a prime example of this, or don;t you think Harry is a very good judge of a player because he keeps banging on about how good Forlan is, lets just see what happens might not even get him.

Couldn't agree more Dom. Yes Forlan was rubbish for United but he is a much different player now side he went to Spain!

I would love to get Forlan, he brings alot more to the table than say Fabiano. Excellent well rounded player worth 28-20 million i reckon. He would be a great signing and would bang in a load of goals for us.

Actually if i recall he wasn't that bad at utd. took him a long to get of the mark for sure but once he settled i think he got on the score sheet quite regularly. I'd like to get him, but he's going to cost us and we will probably only get one or two seasons out of him. The speculation over the England managers job is going to hamper us though. How can Harry sell the club to players when there is a possibility of him leaving ? Thank god for dodgy tax dealings we'd lose him for sure if it wasn't for his upcomming court case.

Yeah he would bring some extra options for the CL but i would prefer Luis SUAREZ..

Yeah Suarez has allot more seasons in him, has the potential to be better than Forlan, Harry is afraid of Forlan's wages, and Diego has spoken out again saying he wants to stay at Athletico.
