A season that promised so much didnt get off to flyer but finished with a good run which will bring back 33,000 Yids to to lane next season. Some really good signings last year, be honest who thought Berbatov was going to be oh so good!! Zokora and Chimbonda also have been worth the Money.

The problem is our left side left back and left midfield, Bale for me would be a great buy, left midfield who are the options Downing, Gamst m pedersen?

I see all our problems on the left ,we have  great attack, a midfield of JJ, Zokora and lennon, a back line up of King, dawson and Chimbonda should not have conceded as many goals as it did. The problem comes from poor balnce on the left.

WE need left sided players but who? let me know your thoughts so i can laugh or cry, hope and prey for a new season that will deliver all my dreams...

I wonder how many games my dreams will last next season

Your right nobody would have thought Berba to be this good, especially in his first season.

Left side is a major problem and probably everyone would agree on that. But I think other areas need just has much strengthening.

We need a centre midfielder to link midfield to attack. JJ is OK, but we can get so much better.

I don't think you can just blame the defence for the amount of goals we conceded, they didn't get the cover from midfield that they needed.

Personally I believe Jol wants Downing, and I would be pretty happy if we did sign him tbh. Left back, Bales or Baines will be good buys.

Next season will be amazing, I just know it.

Welcome to the site by the way mate.

Good 1st post...

But ye we need a LM,LB,AM?,DC,ST?.

I think the problem with our defence was freekicks, long shots and crosses... If we just get a decent defensive left back, to stop the crosses coming in and perhaps some how add more aerial presence to the side, and MJ 2 tell Jenas/Zokora to close the opposition down a bit more @ the edge of the box then I'm sure we'll be fine.
Get Moussa Sissoko In Spurs!!!!

And come on City, break that bloomin' top 4!

This is a good post. I have always said it would be difficult for foreign players when they come to the premiership but for Berba he has done a brilliant in his first season.

Our left side is the biggest worry we need a quality left back like Baines and a LW like Pedersen.

It's our defending what is letting us down and that is why we have gave away so many goals. Our midfield is great with Zokora in the team but we need to drop Jenas as I am not a big fan of him and buy a good midfielder as a replacement.

I can't wait for that and I know it's gonna be an amazing season once we have got the players that we want.

Good post. The left side is deff our biggest worry at the mo, especially the defence, I'd like to see Baines come. Also agree with what's been said about needing some extra attacking force in midfield to give us that extra spark. As for Berba he's been nothing short of amazing! Bring on next season, can't wait!

Left backs:
Leighton Baines,
Gareth Bale,
Gabriel Heinze,
Matt Taylor,
Gareth Barry

Left Wing
M.G.Pederson,
Arjen Robben,
Gareth Barry.

My personal choice for left back would be Baines i believe, experianced in the prem unlike Bale. Should be a fair bit cheaper than Heize, Taylor and Barry!
Also seems better defensivly than than the others.

Personal choice for left wing would be Pederson, great left peg, excellant crosser and can score!!! Doesnt dive like Robben. Seems to me a better out and out winger than Barry, i.e. pace and crosses!

Don't forget Bridge! imo best LB in the country. Robben is the best out of them 3 by far, but i personally hate him as i'm sure nearly everyone outside of chelsea does. I'd be surprised if we see more then one noatable person from the english leagues, when you can buy abroad for players just as good for 2-5m less.
