I have to say that Spurs have the best strike force in the premiership in: Keane (22 goals in 31 starts), Defoe (18 goals in 29 starts) + Berbatov (23 goals in 43 starts).

All the hype has been around Berba (and so there should be) but I think Keane's been one of the best premiership strikers this season; he's scored 11 premiership goals, the same as: Martins, Johnson, Zomora and Anelka... With only making 18 starts (injured for 6 weeks), compared to others that have been starting much more regularly. Also he's not only an out and out striker, like Johnson or Zomora but he chases the ball for the whole game and also helps a great deal in the build up of attacks and so is a massive help to the side not just as a goal scorer. So really I think he is underrated by many other (non Spurs?) fans, him and Dimitar have linked up brilliantly so it isn't just Berba making him look good.

Defoe has managed 10 premiership goals in just 20 starts, and offers a different option to Keane, so this really does complete a perfect strike force. He has also remained positive, acknowledging his importance to the squad, and hasn't whinged about not starting too many games as many other strikers of his quality would have done.

Well with Berba I don't really need to say much, 1st season in the premiership and is the 8th top scorer, 3rd best striker according to actim. But he stands head and shoulder's above a lot of people due to his terrific technical ability.

With a new striker (D.Bent?) also heading to the lane we could be banging in plenty more goals next season!
Get Moussa Sissoko In Spurs!!!!

And come on City, break that bloomin' top 4!

It's a dream partnership. Keano & Berba are such opposites which is good for the team. Keano works tirelessly chasing down the ball whereas Berba mostly works the final third of the pitch. Agreed, Keane is very much underrated - he has scored some absolutely outstanding goals this season, & his link up play with Berba is great. He does have great skill himself but it is second best to Berba. I only hope this partnership can go from strength to strength.

With JD as the third striker, we have a great line-up, and if we manage to keep him & sign D Bent, what a formidable foursome we will have. Surely the best in the P'Ship?

Berb's and Keane are easily the best strike partnership in the Prem.

They're understanding is amazing, and no other partnership come close to them.

Just looking at the top 3 scorers for each club gives you an idea of how spurs' strike force really fair up.

1. Man U : Ronaldo (17), Rooney (14), Saha (8)
2. Chelsea :  Drogba (20), Lampard (11), Shev (4)
3. Liverpool : Kuyt (12) , Crouch (9), Gerrard (7)
4. Ars*nal  : Van P (11), Henry (10), Silva (10)
5. Spurs : Berba (12), Keane (11), Defoe (10)

In terms of pure strikers as the article states we do have the best strike force. What is perhaps interesting is that the top 4 all have a midfield player getting into the action. Maybe spurs' don't really need this if the strikers could put in these numbers every year, but perhaps this isn't enough. I think this really shows that a surer defence would rocket us up the table. In the end just 3 more wins and we could of come 3rd!

I'm talking about our strike force, not just our 3 top scorers, as we have the best 3 strikers in the premiership

It's just a matter of interest that we're the only club actually relying on our strikers rather then expecting strikers and others to get the goals, whether that's a good thing or not who knows!

If Martin Jol was exceedingly smart he could have Defoe, Berbatov and Keane all playing in the same side, put Keane in Jenas' place. This would mean goals galore and also I believe Keane would do a much better job than Jenas. BMJ however remains resigned to the fact of leaving one on the bench though. In pre-season we played all three almost every match and won all of the games, except one we drew in Germany, including a victory over Inter Milan at the lane. I respect Martin Jol's decisions, except for the ones against chelsea in the cup, but why change a winning formula. Sure we have ourselves sorted now but in pre-season we didnt have carrick for a single game but still didnt lose then at the start of the season we change formation, lose and blame it on Carricks departure, surely it was because of the formation change. Also how has Martin Jol still not discovered that Jenas is not good enough to play for a top-four club which we are trying so hard to become. Please Martin stick with winning formulae. Just think next season if we had Defoe, Keane AND Berbatov playing in the same side we could score many more goals. Also please try and not make such a big fuss about Berba, hes class but we are not Ars*nal with Henry!!!!! We want to build a team with the class of players like Berba, we dont need to rely on him all the time to pull us through the season.

Thats what I meant. I've never been a fan of Jenas........I agree with you totally, get the good players in and the rubbish ones like Jenas out!
