Dimitar Berbatov has again assured Tottenham fans he won't be tempted away by the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea this summer.

The 26-year-old marksman said: "The fact Tottenham wanted me from the beginning, stood by me, always liked me and wanted me to come here, were among my reasons for signing.

"They were the first team to contact me, I really appreciated it and that is why I chose to come here.

"From the first day the fans were fantastic to me, they really support me and I am grateful for that."

Reports in Bulgarian newspapers suggest Berbatov is set to sign a new deal which will keep him at White Hart Lane until 2013.

- I am optimistic and I am sure that we shall win the qualifiers. If we fail to win the matches we will not deserve to play at EURO 2008 finals.
- A young player from Levski went on tests to Tottenham. I think the interest of English clubs in Bulgarian footballers has increased with your help?
- Bulgaria has young talented footballers like Levski player Nasko Kurdov. Only someone has to spot them.
- Will you continue to wear the You Are Not Alone ribbon in support of the Bulgarian nurses?
