Downing? No, No, No, No, NO. Downing is very over rated. His own fans hate him. He can only cross, He can't defend. He weakens out of tackles since he got injured, and I've never seen him play a good game when I've been there.

I've read on Blackburn forums that Pedersen is very inconsistent and often goes missing for long spells during a game. Although he does have undoubted class at crossing and shooting, he hasnt got much pace or the skill to beat a fullback 1v1.

Yeah im not as keen on Gamst like others are, I'd rather have Petrov or Downing. David Silva looks a quality player aswell, massive hype about him in Spain atm.

Downing is toss but with Petrov I think we are taking a bit of a gamble there David Silva would be a great addition but would he leave Valencia and come to us. I still say that we should go for MGP because his free kicks and crosses are good.
