Hi guys, just registered on here! loving it already!

There us alot of talk on various other Spurs sites suggesting Joey "bad boy" Barton is on his way to WHL this summer, after ANOTHER fight with a team mate!

Do we really want this sort of thug at our club??

Good player, box to box player, good engine and that, but i recken he will just pick fights as he will become fustrated with the lack of 1st team chances, prob get his head kicked in by Jol tho lol!

Don't really believ he will get in the 1st 11 to often with Jenas and Zokora to displace 1st, and he won't want that and i don't want him!!

Your thoughts please guys.

I'm for signing him. Many awkward playerschange completely with a change of scene and good management - Kenny Burns under Clough, Collymore under O'Neill, and so on.

His temperament would also improve in a better team. At Citeh he was scoring all their goals and doing all the running.

He's young, English, scores goals from midfield, a really good midfielder to rotate with Jenas, Zokora and Tainio.

I know that if we dont get him, someone else will and get good performances out of him.

And he slags off Lumpard in the press - perfect!!

I think hes a good player but wouldnt like to have him at spurs just because of the fact he is a completete d**khead!

Not a good enough palyer IMO, he's better than Jenas, but simply a good midiflder in an average midfield and ehce gets the majority of the plaudits. He is a thug and doesn't have what we need, typical English midfielder, works hard and this gets recognised as talent? He's good, but wouldn't be a step forward from Jenas.

Not a spurs player IMO. Would rather have Nolan, same sort of player. He's on and off pitch antics aren't what we need at spurs.

Barton is trouble, we have a good acadamy set up at Spurs, and a good atmosphere in the dressing room.  The last thing we need is a someone dragging the club into the gutter.

Very Undecided to be honest.

I hate the bloke with a passion in regards to the way he behaves off the pitch.

On the pitch he is a decent box to box player and would bring a much needed passion to our midfields.

Im against bringing him to spurs, we dont need a player with his attitude.
There are plenty of good midfeilders out  there without baggage.
Lets keep the morale of the club up and find someone else that will fit in.

Basically this guy is more trouble than he's worth. He's a thug and a bully not only do I not want him at the club, I dont even want him in the ground the last time we had a thug like him on the pitch he got a lifetime ban. Come to think of it that was for having a go at Lampard too.

We don't want that scally at our club, we would do much better than signing him. We don't need any more central midfielders anyway we need to concentrate on left wingers!

I dont think he fits in with the players that we have at the club, hes more trouble than hes worth. I agree Kevin Nolan would bve the better option if we want a player in this position. (left winger is a piority)
