If he leaves this summer it would actually effect my general life, i'd be really stressed and frustrated because of it.

we have got to put a stop to it .because once manure get involved players suddenly look interested we really do not want another carrick situation.so break the bank to keep him .i think he will stay but we need champs league next season .or he may well go.so fifth is good but to keep him next season we need to be 4th.or he may well be off.:Yid Army: :Yid Army:

The New Zealand Herald said this morning that Berbs is staying so that should put an end to all of this silly talk

well to be honest it would be an even bigger blow if Defoe goes, I think he needs to stay with us because hes such a good player. I know Dimi and Keano are great as a pair upfront but I think that if Dimi plays with Defoe a few times it could do just as good. I couldn't handle having two players leave the squad after having two great seasons with Jol

Berbatov must stay

Why must berbaov stay---simple if we want to break into the top four and be considered as a serious contender for the champions leaguewe must keep our best players and not be a selling club. this would send out a message to our rivals, fans and players considering their options i.e. if we and newcastle say going for the same player we must show that player we are serious with our ambitions. selling berbatov/defoe etc would show a weakness in our resolve

I just read a statement from his agent which say he will be at spurs for at least another year, so same thing at the end of next season then :-\

I think we will have to be in the champions League next year to keep him.

These threads about berba leaving or not leaving is starting to do my head in he is already stated that he is happy at Spurs. It's just paper talk and that talks a load of crap at times. But I can say one thing we aint gonna get involved in an other carrick situation with manure taking our best players or chelski I would be pissed off.

This was posted on myspace but I don't actually know the source:

Dimitar Berbatov's agent insists the player is happy to stay at Tottenham.

The Bulgarian's future at White Hart Lane has been the subject of intense speculation in recent weeks with a number of top sides thought to be monitoring his situation.

Berbatov has enjoyed a tremendous debut season in the Premiership and his performances have caught the eye of several top clubs.

Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool have all been linked with the classy forward with reports suggesting they are ready to test Spurs' resolve to hang onto the 26-year-old.

However, Berbatov's representative Emil Dantchev, who said last month the player would stay in North London for at least another year, says the situation has not changed and the former Bayer Leverkusen man plans to stay at Tottenham.

"Nothing has changed - except for the number of goals that he has scored," Dantchev told the Guardian. "He is very happy with Tottenham."

Spurs boss Martin Jol is confident of keeping Berbatov and he believes there is more to come from the skilful hit-man.

"He would be in my team of the year, but there is a lot of room for improvement," said Jol.

"He's not surprised me, but the only thing is how they gel with other players when they come from a different country. After a couple of weeks, he was always on fire.

"I think Dimitar can score 20 in the Premiership because there are players doing that and I think he is as talented as any other player.

"In Germany, he scored on average over 20 goals and that is a good league."

Well that pretty much sums up what we've been saying all along so can we now put this one to bed?

I think we can put to rest these Berba rumours now. Lets all trust Jol and believe him when he says Berba is happy at spurs and isn't going anywhere.
