If Berbatov does leave

Hey all

The talk of him leaving just wont go away.

My main worry is he does seem 2 get very very frustrated in games with pretty much every1, other than Robbie Keane for some reason?

On skysports last night they were saying if he has it in his head he wants to play champions league and someone like Man Utd come in for him, what can we do?

I would be sooooo gutted if he did leave, the guy ouzes class, he's by far the best player we have. After the sale of Carrick i cant see us being a selling club, i do think Defoe will leave this summer as will Mido, i think we will bring in Darren Bent and maybe another striker.

All i want is for Berbatov to come out and say i am very happy at Tottenham and i will not be going anywhere.

Untill then i cant help thinking he might leave.

What does everyone else think?

first off i dont want him to leave.

but he has got to stop moaning, i know he get frustrated but if dont look good on the team, after a stray pass and he start stamping his feet. No one moans at him when he miss places a pass.

but i think we need to keep him if we want CL football

I honestly think he'll be at the Lane next season, he is a loyal player, and I think he gets frustrated purely because he wants to do well and wants the team to achieve.

Our director was in contact with Berbie 7 years before he joined us, he's already stated he's happy at WHL, which MJ had publicly stated.

I'd bet my house that Dimitar Berbatov is Tottenhams no.9 next season.

Here we go guys the confirmation.

Quote
Dimitar Berbatov has told Martin Jol he's happy to stay at Tottenham, despite speculation linking him with a summer move to Manchester United.

The Bulgarian striker has enjoyed an excellent first season in English football and his partnership with Robbie Keane has helped fire the club to the brink of European football once again.

Berbatov scored his 22nd goal of the campaign in Monday night's 2-0 victory over Charlton and after the game Spurs boss Jol was confident he wouldn't be losing him.

"Berbatov is very happy at our club," Jol told Sky Sports 1.

"I had a word with him yesterday and he said he is so happy here.

"The crowd and the supporters are always positive and he said 'what more do I want?'

"I said 'yeah' because I'm always happy when my players are happy."

Berbatov was a £10.9million signing from Bayer Leverkusen last summer and has quickly made an impact in the Premiership.

And Jol also thinks he is probably the best signing of the season.

He added: "Could be, could be. For us, he's excellent quality."

I don't want him to leave to leave either we made one mistake in selling Michael Carrick and we ain't gonna make another by selling berba to them. He has already said he is happy to stay and that says it all.

As for Berba we must do all we can do keep him, and when Jols says Berba's happy I for one believe him. So I'm not worried at all.

But everyone has a price.

I think the guy has the sense to know when he signed for spurs where we were and what our ambitions are.
If he wanted c/l football without the effort he would have went straight to man utd (and for a bigger wage) but it didn't appeal to him to join an established c/l team.
I ts not that he doesn''t want glory,he wants to help create glory...and he wants to bring spurs back to glory .
(just my thoughts as I don't know the guy):dunno:

I get good vibes from him.I think he gets frustrated because he wants more from the players around him.I dont mind that,at least he cares. If he`s sold i want to go on record as saying here and now that i will NOT renew my membership and may never go to whl again.

That was M.J's after match interview. My only worry about this is when agents start getting involved and money is bandied about sometimes players get their heads turned. I get the impression that Berbatov is loyal though and will honour his agreement, and to be fair his agent has said he's not looking to move. I just wish the player would issue a statement saying he's staying and then we could put all this speculation to bed.

I said exactly the same when Jimmy Greaves was sold. 35 years or so later I'm still going to the lane. Players come and go the club will live forever.

I think Berbatov is the key to us breaking into the champions League in the next 2 season, i also think he will draw top players to want to play for Tottenham.

MJ is still building a great future for spurs, and i think Berbatov can see that. Without a dought he will be a spurs legend!

he won't be sold. Its impossible he just joined. No way anyone can snatch him from spurs at this instant. Maybe 3-4 yrs later if spurs fail to play in CL.
I used to think that being lazy was bad for me .......  So I gave up thinking

Berba's girl

OMG! I don't know how many more conversations like this I can take! It honestly fills me with dread. I haven't felt this way about a player in all my 28 years of supporting the club. I am completely obsessed with the man.

My apologies...I am an over-emotional woman!!!!!!!!! *goes to find valium*
