Dimitar Berbatov and Robbie Keane have been jointly named Barclays Player of the Month for April.
The strike duo enjoyed a highly-productive month with eight goals from five league games, which has seen both take their goal tallies to 21 in all competitions.

It is the fifth time the player of the month award has been tied, with potent strike forces such as Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton, as well as Robbie Fowler and Stan Collymore, having also previously shared the monthly honour.

Berba’s first player of the month gong comes off the back of being named in the PFA Team of the Season last week, while this is the third time Robbie has picked up the honour, having previously won while at Leeds United in January 2001 and during his time at Coventry City in August 1999.

Only Alan Shearer, Dennis Bergkamp, Thierry Henry and Steven Gerrard have collected the accolade on four occasions.

Great to see they've been recognised for their brilliant performances this month.

But I didn't know you can get joint winners for this award. :dunno:

Brilliant, since when do win stuff like this?

It's always the top 4.

Though, whenever we win an award Manager OTM and POTM, we tend to lose the next match...

Charlton HAVE to win to stay up aswell, and when teams NEED something against us we never do well.

It is just amazing that our main two strikers win the Barclays Premiership player of the month for April. Just hope Robbie is ok for the Charlton game and hope we send charlton down with Berba scoring a hat trick in a resounding win over a strugling team.

It's great to hear it. But, no wonder about it. They showed quality football actions on the ground.

I think they just got equal number of votes in the EPL survey for POTM :-). Peculiar that it is, I think that's be best thing that could happen and it will surely live up the mood of the team:-).

The two of them are class strikers. It's one of the best striking partnerships in the Premiership this season. Robbie & berba deserve hopefully start tonight so we can send Charlton down.
