Very surprising that Watford won away to Reading today but that's helped us out a lot. Everton v Pompey would have better as a draw maybe, but at least we have 2 games in hand over them now. Bolton also lost so it's all good. We just have to ensure we get the points now & we'll be safe & sound. :gaydance:

COYS

Shame West ham will stay up though, but we're basically guarenteed European football next season if we beat Charlton. :)

If my maths are correct we now need 5 points from our last 3 games for a Uefa spot.

I think if we win at Charlton we should have a UEFA Cup spot, not mathematically but as we have 2 home games to finish I am very confident.

I do believe though that we should be aiming for 5th. That was where we finished last year so why settle for less.5th place two years in a row really does indicate that we are knocking on the door of the top 4.
It should ensure that no one wants to leave [not that anyone does anyway].

I say that the Charlton is a game is an away win where we come away with three points. The Blackburn game is another we can win and the final game at home to Man City we can win too. If we finish 5th again we have done great in what has been a difficult season for us but we never give up and we'll fight to the end. But I am confident we will finish 5th and if we finish there again like last time there are warning signs that we are ready to join the top 4.

Finishing in 5th spot would send out a signat that Spurs are serious contenders, and not mis-table also rans.  The results this weekend mean that a win is vital for Charlton, if they lose they will be relegated.  So they will be playing for their survival and will not roll over.  We need to come out strong and put them away early.  My worry is that if we start defending a lead we might concede a goal or two.

Tomorrow is a pivotal game for us. If we win I reckon 5th place is very likely. With the last 2 games at home, we should be getting 6 points from them.

Yeah we have a potential 9 points to be had, I think 5th place is still very much for the taking.
