Erik The Viking!!!

Well guys what can I say about this man?, he is by far our best player by a million miles , when we get him in the game he plays well and dictates all our good play!, he has so many times pulled a rabbit out of the hat when we have most needed it, WHAT A PLAYER, absolutely brilliant, we should give him the captaincy and look to build our team around him!, he and Kane have developed a good understanding so with a couple more of good technical players around him we wont be far away.

He is certainly one of our great players and always gets a good reception when he comes back to White Hart Lane.

Talking about great players for Spurs I must mention Brown and Jennings and of course Ted Ditchburn. Today's players pale into significance compared to those heroes. And what have they won after Brown, Jennings and Ditchburn? You youngsters probably won’t have heard of those names, but trust me, I’ve seen them and they were far superior on what is on offer today, and they played in great teams. Spurs foundation was built on their names and style of football. Without them there would be no legend or glory at the lane. Remember that!!

Yes, they are great players and certainly what our greatness was built upon. But that was then, we can't continue living in the past. Clubs like Chelsea, United, City and Ars*nal don't hark back to their previous glory's but look forward to new challenges and trophies.

After RVT & Bale we have not had a player like Eriksen, someone we new could be a game changers!, we have signed so many midfielders many young and full of promise and expectations but alas they have never stepped out of the shadow!, In Eriksen we have finaly got the REAL DEAL  , if he can produce half of what Lampard did for Chelsea then great times lay ahead! go go Eriksen keep up the great work.

Buying seven players and expecting them to do wonders in the first season was stupid, It takes time to settle in, but once fully integrated then they will do the job for us. That is why Pochettino didn't sell or buy. He had faith in those players. He just had to know how to handle them.

That maybe the case Voice but they bought too many at the time. They should just have bought one or two and then gradually slotted them in. Liverpool also bought a few and have are having a similar – if not worse – season than we had at the time. This is down to Levy too eager to please the wrong sort of people. I believe that AVB didn’t want half of those players and the ones he wanted he didn’t get.
I agree with you and what has been said elsewhere that we didn’t need to buy in the transfer window. However, if Ade had been sold we might have bought another striker. I read somewhere that Pochettino plans to raid the younger Spurs players for what he needs to fill any gaps. That maybe ok, providing he does it for the right reasons.
