Everybody keeps bringing up Ars,Utd winning things but you all fail to mention that both these teams invested lots on advancing there oown yourth team, they played them in the champions league and nurched them into first team players, this coupled! With experience  players already there to fine tune there skills ,both clubs produced league winning teams, this in turn lured top players to the club and so the cycle starts all over again. Here is where Spurs fail as we go and invest then spend a few seasons getting the team to gel, produce a brilliant player/players then sell him, the team then struggles the next season and out goes the manager in with the new and the cycle starts again, we need to keep hold of the best in order to attract the best, who is realisticly going to want to come to a club that changes managers every year or so?,

Generally speaking, what you say is correct, but in recent times as soon as we produce a decent player ie. G.Bale or find a quality player ie. L.Modric their heads get turned by a so called Super Club making un-ethical advances and the player wants to leave, irrespective of whether they are a contracted player or not, and the so-called Powers continually allow these clubs to get away with it, until steps are taken to outlaw these approaches, unfortunately the cycle will continue. >:( >:( >:(

This exactly what I was talking about, most owners/chairmans are living in dream land if they think they  can make a league champion squad by buying good players then selling them as great players to bigger clubs ad all it is doing is making our own teams job t
wice as hard, it has been going on far far to long and needs to stop >:(, we are going in the right direction again now but with the likes of MC that have bottomless pockets staying alongside these teams is near impossible without being in the champions league every year.

Good football is obviously better to watch, but as we are not quite there yet, winning the odd trophy here and there would suit me. It has been a long time since the last silverware when we beat Chelsea 1-0 in the League cup a few years ago (Ramos rings a bell!). So I would welcome the Europa Cup any day.

No only "to dare is to do", but "who dares wins" as Del boy would put it!

I would rather Spurs win by playing good football; so long as their are trophies at the end of it. But I would rather play crap football and titles to show for it than attractive football and nothing.

They called Ars*nal "boring, boring Ars*nal"; yes, but look what they won. They called us stylish Spurs, but look what we won.... please remind me what Spurs have won since the formation of the Premiership? Remind me how many league titles we won since Bill Nicholson won the double over 50 years ago please?

Quite frankly I would rather find something else to do on a Saturday. I want to be entertained, nor bored to death.

so you would rather that we won nothing and ended mid table so long as we played attractive football? I would like Spurs to play attractive football and win trophies/ titles, but if not then I'll settle for boring boring Spurs and win trophies and league titles for me.

Voice I don't quite think he ment it that way,I'm sure or would like to think every Spurs fan would be happy if we won trophys any way will do, What RSS61 is trying to say is he would like to watch entertaining football not like the 70s Liverpool team who would score first then sit back and play keep ball for the rest of the match. (boring 1-0)wins,

We all would rather watch entertaining football; I am no different in that. But if they do play entertaining football they must win trophies and league titles. Otherwise Spurs would be just there to improve the "greater teams" position.

At the end of the day football is an entertainment that we all watch for pleasure (although being a Spurs fan can sometimes test this). Most of us support a team for geographical or family reasons and there are some that are just glory hunters that pick the most successful side at the time. As in life most clubs are like people and have a personality and their fans tend to mirror this personality creating a bond between the fans and the club. Spurs have a personality that has always been associated with flair and excitement ....i.e fast, free flowing and exciting football which over the years has bought some success but probably not as much as would be liked. I for one would find it disturbing (and I have under AVB and Ramos) when we try and change our basic principles as a club, I'm not saying that winning 1-0 in a turgid style dosen't have its place because to be successful sometimes that is neccessary but as a whole our style and flair is our identity and we have been known for this for many years and I hope we will continue to be known for it for years to come !!!

I hope that all Spurs fans understand this as Spurs isn't a football club to its supportters it's a way of life, something we take great pride in suffering as well as enjoying !!!!
