Berbs seems more than usually hacked off with his team mates in the second half against the Goons today. we were playing badly and getting pulled out of position and (though he's always shouting a bit at the others) it looked like he really couldn't stand being surrounded by morons. Kinda like a genius kid at school surrounded by lads still learning to read. Questions:

1 - Can this be good for the team?

2 - Does it bode well for Berbs staying if he's frustrated by poor vision and tactical awareness from team mates?

I think he is spot on with what he said

i would be pissed if i was him. he was playing on his own

i cant understand playing with a player like Berbatov who wins the ball 90% of the time and no1 hardly wins the follow up ball

he noticed it. we need some world class players to back him up from midfield i hope we can hold on to him

He was doing the same against wigan last week.

I dont think theres anything wrong with a bit of passion.

He's already stated his desire to stay on next year and his unity with the rest of the squd looks fairly strong.

Best forward in the premiership at the mo imo.

Cant even contemplate losing him as far as im concerned

There's talk of big cubs being interested but i think if we didnt let carrick go for less than 18 million with him begging to go then a berbatov who wants to stay is going to have a minimum of 30 million on his head

I blogged this exact same point earlier. Great minds think alike.

His body language said it all. His full potential is clearly not being used because of the players around him not being able to pass the ball effectively (with a few exceptions maybe). Berbs is sheer class and his technique is head & shoulders above everyone else in the side. Frustration can only lead to him moving on, where he can play alongside other quality players. Not a pleasant prospect because we MUST keep hold of our good players.

Yeh i agree with that

His agent saying a few weeks ago that he wants to stay is surey a good sign tho? It's normally them who stir up talks of transfers

I get the impression that he is happy at Spurs. But you can understand his frustration at the way the team is playing. I like it when he has a moan shows that he really cares. I just wish he didn't have cause to do it quite so often.

Berbatov is a magnificent player and is right in what he said. We need a good attacking midfielder to replace Jenas and can shoot, link up with forwards and take free-kicks. If we give Berba and Keane the right support they will easily score at least 25 each a season. I understand why he was frustrated and thats because Ars*nal were there for the taking and we screwed up once again.

I found this Berbatov site and there is a piece about his agent saying he will definitely be staying with us no matter what offers may come in

Thats good news, but he only said he wont leave this summer. Does that mean he could go the next summer?  We need to get him to sign a new contract, and quick.

What is his current contract?

It's not just Berb's that gets frustrated, the amount of times Lennon, Keane, Defoe all throw their arms in the air and show frustration is worrying.

Thats the main problem with our team, we're not gelling as a unit, but hopefully Jol will get them firing on all cylinders.

I should imagine that unless we have a good season 2007/08 win a trophy and at least qualify for Uefa cup then he will leave in summer 2008. He's an ambitious player and as such we have to help him fulfill those ambitions or he will go to a team that can. If we get 2 good seasons from him without any trophy's then personally I wouldn't hold it against him if he chose to leave for pastures greener.

Berbatov is a World Class Player, we must either get the rest of our team to step up to the next level or we will lose him.
MJ should be looking to purchase a great CB, a Midfeild player also for next year to allow himself to build a stronger team to break into the top 4.
This wiil allow us to keep hold of our good players and set the club on the road to sucess.

Thanks for that. I also found a rather fantastic link from your link, with 100s of Berba photos on it. Just some to add to my collection *drool* (Sorry to be so girlie) lol
