Apparently Bale wasn't at the game yesterday ? If that is so, then I would imagine the deal is done with RM.

What don't they make a decision one way or the other?

I don't think it is as simple as that. There are many factors that have to take into consideration; the player, Spurs, the manager and even what Real Madrid can offer. It is a business transaction.
I’ve lived a life that’s full. I’ve travelled each and every highway;
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Regrets, I’ve had a few;
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.

It is high time that the FA and Europe got together and sorted this problem out. The transfer window should be open for the months of January & July only, so that when the season kicks off all this unsettling behavior is over.
I mean, look at last night for example. Pardew is trying to prepare for the hardest start to Newcastle's campaign that could be, and what happens - a couple of hours before kick off, Wenger comes on the phone (presumably) and says "How about 10 million for Cabaye" As a result, he has to leave him out, have a hasty re-arrangement, and Bingo - they get smashed 4 - 0. Is that fair ? Will they do anything about it ? I doubt it.

To be fair Pardew and Newcastle isn't in the same league as Spurs. Selling isn't a problem for him, buying is.

That is true, but what I am getting at is that it interrupted their preparations for their first game.

         You are quite correct it isn't right, as per usual the so-called "BIG FOUR" can do what they like as can RM and BARCA  and get away with it, it is about time that UEFA and that French Prick who is in charge did something to stop this continually happening, but we all know that he won't don't we.!!!!!!!

Couldn't you argue that there is now a big five; we've annoyed a few clubs by coming in snatching their intended purchases.

Or if you take away Ars*nal and put Spurs in its place then still a top 4.

I think there is very much a top 5 clubs now, for we write off Ars*nal at our peril !

      Whilst I and many others regard us a Top 5 side, when the Big Four is mentioned people are generally referring to Man U/ Man City/ Chelsea and Ars*nal, and before everyone screams wrong wrong wrong, we have been victims of the so-called Super Clubs turning the heads of our players, we are witnessing it right now, whilst we think of Spurs as being a Super Club unfortunately at the moment there are not too many others who think likewise, and if we sell Bale we will continue to be seen as a SELLING Club, irrespective of the fact that we have so far spent close on 70 million pounds this window!!!!! :nods: :nods:

Utd was forced to sell Ronaldo but that didn't stop them being a top club. Bale is one man. So long as we replace him with quality then I don't have a problem. The next couple of seasons will tell us if we are a top 4 club. The Revolution started with AVB. I've said on this forum that one criticism I would direct against Levy was that he picked some turkey's (as managers). AVB changed that. With the right manage, I've said, we will do well.

Of course time will tell; and you are welcome to tell me I am wrong when the time comes. But if I am right, then even you will be jumping with joy.  :up:

Voice,
    United were not forced to sell Ronaldo. Until RM started making overtures, he was quite happy to stay with United.(Ring any Bells)for Ronaldo read Bale.
     The reason United REMAINED a Successful club was because they already had a squad with a considerable amount of depth,(unlike Spurs) they could have fielded 2 teams that would have contested quite successfully pretty much every competition that they entered.

    When we consistently qualify for CL, and become a Team that Challenges for the title year in and year out, I will willingly agree with you, at the moment we are building a side that will hopefully do this, but we have to do it consistently over a period of time.
