Wigan will be on a high and know that a defeat will send them down. A draw and they can just about hang on. A draw will do us good.

A draw is not enough for Wigan they have to win to have a chance of staying up.
Maybe next year...

Technically they can still do it. If Sunderland lose by a heavy score and they will their last game with a good score then it is possible; even if they draw against Ars*nal. But I agree it is unlikely. Anyway, let us hope they win.

But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.

Seriously? Technically they can do it, is not the same as they can just about hang on. They would of needed an 11 goal swing. They would have more chance scoring 3 goals in the last 10 mins against Ars*nal.
Maybe next year...

Only the same luck we were riding on anyway, since drawing with Chelsea. But there is still a chance.
Maybe next year...

They will find it hard up there and I would like to think that a draw could be the final result.  So I will predict (hope for) a 2-2 final score. Why not?, we all know "this is a funny old game" and anything can happen.

Thinking logically though, with Newcastle being more relaxed,  they should win. So 5th will more than likely be our place at the end of Sunday afternoon.  :'(

Well, whatever it is or isn't Wigan are now relegated and it is all on the last match.

I fancy Newcastle's chances. At the very least a draw.

The eternal optimist. Although you may be right,  Ars*nal are the most in form side in the premiership, taking 29 points from 36. Think it is time they dropped some points.

Unfortunately, this may happen, but we may fail to score or let in a late goal to a side we should be beating, and may throw it away still.
Maybe next year...

I fully expect 5th to be our finishing place and with our highest ever prem points tally to top it off, shows how far other teams are coming along as well as us.

Going to be an exciting Sunday!

Newcastles  manager has already said "I don't give a toss whether we lose 5-0 on Sunday cos we are now safe" So I think we can fully expect the Arse to win, having said that I still live in hope!!

Personally I think our CL hopes went out of the window when we lost at home to mighty Fulham. At that point a top 3 place was in our hands, pretty much like last season really.
Once again we are unable to beat the crap sides consistently, so that when we do get a result against teams like Man City all it does is mask over the points we drop against the lesser sides, rather than act as a bonus, and catalyst to better things.
Once again Ars*nal have shown us how to do it.
