Seriously, I have never seen anything like that and we had Gomes in goal for a few years.

Surly he got paid off for that game

Didnt he used to play for us as a back up keeper?

On another note Gomes was and still is top drawer I hope he is back to his tip top form and our no1 next season!
THFC "COYS" and that is all I have to say about that!

It does make you think doesn't it?  He virtually threw the ball into his own net for the 3rd goal and the other 2 were down to him too. You'd like to think that English football is a clean game but displays like that do make you wonder.

While Fülop's performance was abysmal, I don't think it was a revenge for not getting a chance at Spurs.

I just rate Gomes, yes he made errors nature of teh game, often over looked was his point saving saves he would pull off that others keepers can only dream of.  Brad is a good keeper but how much does he have left at the top 1 season 2 at the very most.  Hopefully our Tony Parks is getting Gomes back to his best!

Whilst I agree that Gomes is a hugely talented keeper, and I liked him a lot, a keeper cannot afford to make mistakes, as they cost matches and there is no hiding place for a keeper. Once the crowd get on their back, confidence falls, bottle goes, call it what you will and they seldom recover. For example, Ian Walker and Paul Robinson. Both England keepers, but error prone. I think nobody can disagree that Brad Freidal has been the key signing for us last year. Despite an inconsistent back 4, we are have conceded the 4th least number of goals this year in the prem.
I agree he will need replacing, but by a new young keeper in Freidal's mould. Not a return to Gomes.

RSS I agree with you that Friedel has made a big difference at the back this year and going back to Gomes now would be a backward step.... maybe a cheeky bid for Tim Krul at Newcastle !!!!

If Friedel could manage another season then I don't see the need to change him his experience and talent seem to filter into the back four and help them deal with difficult situations ..... didn't Neville Southall play until he was about 44 ?

I think Friedel can continue for a good few years more.

Fulor gifted the Gooners the game as we all know but that is history now.

Freidal's solid performance has instilled confidence in our back 4 and helped us to 4th
this season.
Feel we need to get a younger goalie in reserve and let Gomes go.

Gomes has made to many mistakes for my liking at crucial times.

that must of been one of the worst goal keeping displays i have seen in a while, awful is an understatement  for a this keeper who plays in the premier league, I've seen Sunday league keepers put in a better performance then him.
