VDV back to Holland?
« on: April 20, 2012, 02:19:39 PM »
I've just read in Polish newspaper, that VDV's going to go back to Eredivisie. Do you know something?

He will go back to Holland but not just yet. I believe he has a good few years left on this level.

I'll be surprised if it's with Spurs...... we are going to be left so far behind that we will need hyperspace travel to catch up !!!!

Lets hear it from VDV himself........

“Even if we don’t manage to get into the Champions League that is no reason for me to leave,” VDV said.
“Any young player wants to play for Barcelona, Manchester United or Real Madrid. But that is something I’ve done, and I am now happy at Spurs.”

So here is hoping he keeps to his word, however can see him returning to Holland later in his career.

He would be a God in that league, but glad he's happy being a demi God here for the time being

According to Sky Sports, Schalke 04 have expressed an interest. I also read somewhere that van der Vaart's wife resides in Germany.

Well he had a decent season, not great though. Still worth keeping, so better give him a pay rise I guess. LOL

As long as he can accept that he'll get subbed sometimes I think we should keep him. He scores and creates goals and his name is fun to say. What more do you need?  :D

Apparently Huntelaar wants Shalke to sign Rafa before he will commit to a new deal. Heres a thought why dont we sign Huntelaar and they can be best buds in North London. Unlikely for sure and if Rafas Mrs is not happy you can bet he will be off asap.
