baldblokes prediction blown out of the water
« on: February 02, 2012, 04:42:52 PM »
so old baldy has consistently stated spurs will finish 5th for a good while now but he must be still wiping the egg off his face after what can only be described as the most useless prediction since the days of  mystic meg . i wonder how he feels now that yet again chelsea and Ars*nal have fallen further behind pointswise since he enlightened us with his absolute garbage . with 15 games to go it appears to me that an implosion of seismic proportions will still not see the arse the chelsea or the pool knock us off course for 4th or better no matter what .the facts are we are vastly superior than any of those 3 and at the end of the season old baldbloke formely known as gareth keown will be eating a serious wedge of humble pie . enjoy it my man and in future engage your brain before you come out with such ardent tripe .COYS

I hope your right and I am wrong. Unfortunately, if I am wrong it will be for the first time. We will finish below Chelski and Liverpool and finish fifth. As much as it hurts me, our decline will start Monday when we lose against the scouse. I will leave  a post on this thread to remind you !!

Remember, 5th

Remember, 5th

The difference is, if we do end up 5th, I will be gutted and ruing how we had thrown it away. You however, will be gloating and feeling oh so pleased with yourself.

Personally I would rather dream and hope. When those dreams come true, I will have enjoyed the whole experience from start to end, a happiness that I can remember for years to come. When they unfortunately go wrong, I will have a short moment of sadness but reflect on the whole experience with pride but a little sadness, but that will quickly go and I will ready myself for the long journey of hope and happiness next year and the year after that if need be, until the end of my days!

Whereas Baldbloke, you will spend your days in misery and gloom, always waiting for your nightmares to come true and for it (inevitably in your opinion) all to go horribly wrong. When those nightmares do not come true and we succeed in one way or another (3rd or to win a cup, get into Champions league etc) your happiness will be but a fleeting whisper, so short and will never stay long. For soon you shall return to your former state of misery, waiting, expecting the happiness to be snatched from you again and the nightmare to return until the end of your days!

So tell me, who would you rather be?
Maybe next year...

I prefer to be a pessimist, as a pessimist is an optimist with experience. If things go wrong it is as I expected, if they go right I am pleasantly surprised, either way I win. What you don't understand is that I get equally as much pleasure as you when Spurs do well, but less misery when they don't. It's a bit like betting on your team to lose, you win either way. It all makes perfect to sense to me.

Anyway, I bet you we stuffed against the Scouse tomorrow, and on the off chance I am wrong, I will take an immense amount of pleasure when you rub my nose in it, REALLY !!

Baldy's just had his heart cut out too many times by Spurs collapsing; he's not willing to open up and let the love shine.  :hide: I know it's in there though baldy. We just need to put together a few more good years, and we'll truly be a top team not just in England, but in Europe. What's more, we're doing it the right way; within our means, staying out of debt, and when the FIFA fair play rules come into effect and take Man City with them, we'll be a nailed-on top 4 side year in, year out!

I don't think we can pip 2nd anymore, but we'll definitely hold off Chels and the rest for 3rd.

Yid Army!

I would be perfectly content with 3rd. That said, never say never. All it takes is the team ahead of you doing an abrupt form faceplant and you're... duh, WINNING. :P Improbable, maybe, but not impossible.

After yesterdays lucky win, and managing to scrape all 3 points, I am starting to believe we have an outside chance of 4th !!
