I see some ppl are still struggling to pass their basic English Comprehension exam at 'English as your 2nd language' level..

I have already stated several times that Modric is a good player, well worth a shot at less than 30m pounds, to a team in CL/titles competition and who generally play a narrow-3 in midfield.

by bringing Jenas into the 'debate' when we were talking about Modric's valuation just shows you iz running out of options to fight your corner with.

PS - as for '3 of the top4 teams last year' would love to sign Modric - to my knowledge ONLY Chelsea have made a bid for him to date, so your statement is kinda feeble as things stand.

"nameless" says 27M was not too low and I am incorrect. Was the offer accepted? No. Therefore it is too low.

The best song I've ever heard.

What's-a matter Lu-(ka!)
Gotta no respect,
Why-a you looking to move,
Why you look-a so sad,
Fifths-a not so bad,
Chigwell's a nice-a place,
Ah, shaddap you face
"Any player coming to Spurs whether he's a big signing or just a ground staff boy must be dedicated to the game and to the club. He must be prepared to work at his game. He must never be satisfied with his last performance, and he must hate losing."

Hmm, no Modric in either game this weekend. Yet he was training. Can anyone reassure me that htis is not a bad sign?

Chelsea also preparing one final bid!

If we are going to sell lets do it sooner rather than later so we can bring in quality , well at least have more chance of bringing in quality.
THFC "COYS" and that is all I have to say about that!

Quality players have no interest in signing for us....Harry says he is interested in Mata, so what?  Not a chance we will get him or the Italian striker.  Maybe Diarra on loan, Bobby Zamora and not that Cahill is set for Liverpool maybe Samba but even he wants to go to Ars*nal?

Modric did not play at Hearts and now according to the club is doubtful for the Man U game with a thigh strain!!!
At this point I am not convinced he is staying and will only believe it after the transfer window has closed! :-\

After yesterday's loss I am even more bitterly disappointed in his behaviour. I'm not saying that we would have won but I simply cannot forgive a player  - a player with a long contract - for not showing up for the first game of the season because 'his head wasn't right'. And for this reason I never want to see him in Spurs' shirt again, exactly why I wouldn't want Berbatov back either.

And to be honest, I blame the club too for doing f**k all for the whole summer. Maybe some decent transfers would have sent Modrić a signal that grass is not greener in West London. And we're talking about expectations and excitement... Phah!

Reportedly Modrić didn't want to play yesterday. We have to cash in on him ASAP.

I now think that is time for Mr Levy to sell take the money and reinvest it back into the side, I for one would not hold it against him if he went back on his word about selling Modric after the way Modric is now carrying on.

The club is bigger and better than this and its time to get rid of Modric if he thinks he is bigger or better than the club !!!!

Modric was out for a jog. He did alright on the ball but barely did anything away from it. I stick by my original assessment. 35M plus a player and a loan is a doer. Can't say no to 40M for sure. That's way over the odds for Modric if Nasri, Fabregas, and Sneijder are going for less. Like Marcellus Wallace says, "That's pride f**kin witcha. f**k pride!" Levy should swallow his and take advantage of Abramovic's. Yes, it is absolutely too late in the window. BUT the offer will never be anywhere near this high again. Once we come to the realization that he's not going to play for us, we'll have to give him away (relatively speaking). Can't wait to do this deal in January.

I still do not think we will sell, but I am beginning to think that could be a huge mistake. Pocket the cash. Secure Leandro in January and start recruiting replacements (Montelivo from Fiorentina?)

Sandro, Livermore, Parker, Hudd, Jenas. should be enough to perm 2 from 5 surely for centre-mid.and Kranks could do a shift occasionally there too.

Yossi could/will help back up either flank when Bale, Lennon rested.

IF Modric goes 2moro, expect a 30m bid for Rossi.
