Sandro is confident Tottenham will be stronger next season and can push for top spot in the Premier League, while he also expects his own performances to improve. Spurs showed they could compete against the finest sides in Europe with a magnificent debut campaign in the UEFA Champions League last term.
However, they struggled for consistency domestically and missed out on another top-four finish.
Sandro is nevertheless proud of Tottenham's achievements over the past 12 months and is now looking to push on and challenge for the title.
"I believe that we deserved more from last season," the 22-year-old told Hotspur magazine.
"We showed our quality by producing great performances in big games.
"Sometimes that's just how it goes in football. But we can still hold our heads up high and return next season as a stronger team.
"Tottenham have a strong squad with great players, so why not?
"We have proved that we can live with the best and the talent in the squad is definitely good enough to fight for the title."
Sandro moved to White Hart Lane from Brazilian club Internacional last summer and enjoyed a solid first season in English football.
He gradually became a more regular member of the starting XI and was happy with his form overall.
However, the midfielder, who has been linked with a move away from Spurs during the transfer window, still feels there is more to come.
He explained: "I believe I am well adapted for the characteristics of the English game because football here is for a tough and strong type of person.
"I think I have done well so far and can only improve with time."
