That looks really good Riff.....................want the managers job? I'd back you!  ;)
It was scotspurs who came up with this line-up, actually. But no, I don't want manager's job, we'd be playing in the Conference in a few years time.  :D
LOL Riff.......Seriously, it looks good - not sure if Given is the right choice, but if we could get that Russian guy it looks solid - a great 4-4-2 which served us well last season

Looking at the strikers (??!!??) goals this season, think I would keep Pav now. he has scored 2 more that Defoe and Crouch combined in the League. Also, Kings influence at the back cannot be ignored - defensively, we were pretty immense against Liverpool and Brum and it has got to have something to do with him - he brings out the best in Daws too.

Defensively immense, yes, and both King and Dawson were fantastic, but for me the main contributor was Cudicini. Having a reliable goalkeepers transmits confidence to the defence as a whole. Having a clown like Gomes has the opposite effect.

It is nice that he'll actually catch the ball. I do get sick of seeing Gomes flapping and punching at balls that he should probably catch.

Probably why Cudicini has had his contract extended
