I can't believe this thread.  It is clear that the problem is lack of investment.  This is not 'Arry's fault

It is when before the Blackpool game we had a real chance of finishing 2nd or 3rd. Very poor team selections ever since

Been watching spurs for over 20 years now and I have never had more pleasure watching Spurs more since Harry has been in charge. Yes the results recently against so called smaller teams hasn't been good, but thats Football you win some you lose some. But overall the last 2 season has been fantastic, great football, beat Ars*nal and Chelsea for the 1st time in over 10 years in the league, 4th spot and some great results in the CL..how people can get at Harry is beyound belief...but i guess that's football too, some people are never happy.

I think a few people have got carried away with us being in the champions league this season .Since the champions league started we`ve probably spent more money and had more managers than most sides in europe , let alone the premiership and we`ve achieved ...............very little, if anything . All of a sudden we get into the ecl and a minority of people think that we`re the dogs nuts and that we`ll qualify every season .WE`ve deserved to be there this year but we don`t have a divine right to be there next season .We have to earn it .Harry and the players are giving thier best and if it`s not good enough so be it .
If your not spurs you`re dead to me

Mourinho's in trouble with Madrid........maybe he would consider WHL? (I know there is another thread on that subject, but I think it has been mentioned here too)

Have you considered that others have improved and City have spent a couple of hundred million buying players that we could of potentially bought ourselves to improve our side !!!

Good point Ugs. But why didn't we improve the squad as well (apart from Pienaar - but we have a plethora of MF's already!)? I don't believe for one minute its all down to Levy - we end up looking around at the end of the transfer window and by then its either too late to do a deal or we are talking scraps. Why all the drama anyway with the window? We should be in there at the beginning and snapping up the players we want rather than sitting and waiting, then being dissappointed and listening to more excuses that "the deal couldn't be done in time".

In an ideal world thats what would happen. In reality what happens is, all the players wanting a move wait to see if Barcelona, Man U, Chelsea, City, etc are going to come in for them, and when they dont they look at whoever else might want them. We are ( hopefully) in the 2nd tier at the moment and so deals get done at the last minute.

We also have a small problem with our strict wage structure, that I beleive we are right in keeping in place at the moment. Financially the club is run better than almost every other club in the world and I'm pretty sure 'Arry talks to Mr Levy and asks for certain players but as in life their are probably comprises and 'Arry probably has to settle for the best of what we can get rather than the players he would be targeting.

All in all I'm happy with the way things are at the moment, I can't say I'm not disappointed with the position we find ourselves in but overall I'm happy plus there is a small chance that we could still sneak into the top 4 which I intend to cling to until its gone !!!!
