I think we could get a bit more than just 10 million for him, maybe a million more or something. There would be alot more than just Man Utd interested in him if we were to flog him away.

I wouldn't mind seeing him go, he's got alot of attention by other clubs at the moment, and I think if we hold onto him a bit longer he will only go down in value. That's my personal opinion anyway.

i agree with the last guy. Can't see Man u splashing out 10 million for some1 whos a regular on our bench and have the quality of rooney,solskjaer and saha etc.

We'd be looking around the 6 or 7 million mark imo. Pity cos if we sold him at the backend of last season we'd have been looking at double that.

Shows how well keanes played this season to mak the regular position his own...

It was in the NOTW i think... It's just one player after another for Fergie. I wouldn't be overly upset to see Defoe go, but i'd be well pissed off seeing him go to Man Utd.

Berbatov and Keane have been combining well together, that has kept defoe out of the side. If he goes we would need 2 quality back-up strikers, as it appears mido is also set to leave. Replacement may cost more than we would get for defoe

Totally agree about Defoe, Mido is the one who needs too move on, have too keep our options open incase of injury / suspension and Defoe is more than capable of starting.

He just needs a bit of luck and we'll see him hammer them in again.

I don't think we should get rid of Defoe but for !0mil thats tempting. But I would still keep him, get rid of Mido though.

and i agree completley, how can he be a key attribute to our team when he is always on the bench lol i wouldn't mind to see him go before we only get a couple of mill for him.

I think we should sell both Mido and Defoe. Mido is crap player .. he scored well while we had him on loan was season, but that was just all of it. Totally outclassed by Berbatov, who is a well-rounded 25-goals-and-10-assists-a-season player ...

Defoe is quality, but no match for Keano's leadership skills and playing style. For 10 mil I'd rather see him go for one other key reason: He needs REGULAR full-time first team football in order to bang goals in. In addition, Defoe is far from combinative player, hardly makes any assists and he chiefly prefers to close his eyes and kick the ball as hard as he can. The last makes him not a good choice for a substitution either ... (how many goals/assits as sub does he have ?!?!).

Getting a nice payroll from these two should allow us to attract some good replacements. They shouldn't be over 23 years of age, though, which will make them eager for football and establishment even when entering as subbs. Plus, that would make them an excellent choice in the years tp come !!

its a shame actually, with a bit of first team football i could see him banging them in left right and centre
