Good News on Madrid
« on: March 30, 2011, 01:03:38 PM »
Spain's league programme will go ahead as planned this weekend after a Madrid court upheld a challenge by six clubs against a proposed strike. The country's professional league had called for a walk-out in protest over a rule that states one match per week must be shown for free on television.
But clubs including Sevilla and Villarreal mounted a legal challenge against the proposal.
The strike would have meant the Spanish season being extended by three weeks.  But the court's ruling means Real Madrid will now face Sporting Gijon on Saturday, three days before their Champions League quarter-final first-leg meeting with Tottenham.

Well at least they dont get a longer rest than us coming into the game because that would have seemed typical of our luck right now.

Wow. They were going to go on strike for having one match per week shown for free? Aren't all the other matches pay per view in Spain? Greedy bastards!

Lets hope they have a tough time on Saturday.......... a few injuries, lets say 11, would do us a favour!  :)

Its a bluff for certain, Old Jose flash twat is better at the mind games than Arry but TBH I dont care what team they field we can get a result especially if we have Modders with Thudd in mid and both our flying wingers thats the midfield battle won!

Just hope Arry will remember that Jose wont have a prob in dealing with Crouch unlike other euro managers so could be an idea to look at other options

Totally agree on the Crouch issue Metal - Pav should be a good spoil for VdV - don't think its been tried yet as a starting combination as Harry seems to put Pav on with Defoe is a 4-4-2. Be interesting though. If we get a convincing score this weekend with 4-4-2, I can see Harry using against Madrid as I am convinced they will be expecting a 4-5-1 set up. Just hope we have our flying wingers available as the Madrid defenders tend to play upfield leaving lots of space behind them for Lennon and Bale to exploit. Fingers crossed!  :nods:

Personally I don't believe any of this he won't or won't he play nonsense. Just wait for the teams to be announced on the day. Surely Harry knows this and will go about the business of preparing our team to be as good as they can.

Just hope we have more of a tactic than high balls into the box with the hope Crouch might head it at goal  :tickedoff:!

Jose wont be expecting that tactic will he???? and Casillas the best keeper in the world IMO opinion wont be able to organise his defence or handle most of it himself!

We can get a result here but we could also get royally spanked  :shhh:

Lets turn it on and make everything click..... please
