Yes we are really making it difficult for ourselves at the moment to take a place in the top four but how many chances did we create against West Ham and Blackpool how many hit the woodwork or were cleared off the line ?

Exactly Ugs...i would be more worried if we weren't creating any chances at all...we need a wee bit of luck now in front of goal....the goals will come soon enough...i personally think it is going to click soon, and some team will take a hammering from us...people are giving off about Defoe...the man has had a few injuries this season, its going to take him another few games to get back up to the level we know he can play it...its still all to play for.

So, does the panel actually think we will start to score goals and win games???? Its leaving it late to have any impact on our season. I am please to hear all the optimism that the goals will come soon, but its like being a guy that chases the girl does all the right moves, gets the right reaction, but fire blanks lol

According to Jeff Stelling we set a Premier League record yesterday, 33 attempts at goal without scoring. With a little luck we could have beaten West Ham by 7 or 8. The Gods were against us yesterday but we are creating chances. I'd be a lot more worried if we set the record of having no attempts at all.

Is GK really a Gooner? I was a bit surprised to see the Keown bit in the name, but just thought that was his misfortune lol. Or did he convert after Woolwich were beaten earlier in the season by their more aristocratic neighbours?  33 attempts on goal, a record..............sounds good on the one hand (glass half full)  :D but shows we are extremely poor finishers on the other, as it must be worst conversion stats (glass half empty)  >:(

We've only won half our home games. That's the problem. Our away record is better than Man Utd's in terms of points gained. But even though we've only lost one home game, we'd have a better points tally if, out of the six draws, we'd won three and lost three.

But as for Harry....every time he leaves a club they go bust so it's probably best he stays with us for decades!

Derry I think it goes a bit beyond luck unfortunately, it has become a problem because we seem to rush or panic in front of goal. It seems to me that since we beat Wigan 9-1 we have had a problem scoring, it's been like we done the big score thing and now we have kind of forgotten how to do it !!!

If you look at our front 4 including Van der Vaart they are all quite capable of scoring goals and have but they all seem to have lost a little something, and I think its got alot to do with lack of minutes on the pitch due to injuries or rotation... don't know what the answer is but I hope the boys sort themselves out soon !!

I concur Ugs. Up to the Wigan 9-1 game, we were always quoted as "free scoring Spurs". Then it all went a bit haywire. Do we need some new blood? I know its a bit leftfield, but I'd love to see Kranjcar up front - now thats a guy who turns opportunities into goals and he's very redundant unless there are injuries at the moment! Might just keep him from leaving too! and make Defoe and Co wake up a bit.  ::)

Personally I think we need a name, someone who's tried and tested.

I've said it before and I'll say it again if Drogba is available at the end of the season then why not have a punt for a season or two, or we need an Aguero or similar. Hopefully this will shock Defoe and Crouch into form although Crouchie has come up with goals in the important matches, but at the moment I think 'Arry needs to give Pav a run with Van der Vaart. This is the only pairing he hasn't tried and although theres no reason for Defoe and Van der Vaart not to work they don't seem to be gelling at the moment and that I feel is more to do with Defoe than Van der Vaart. Defoe and Crouch seem to be more effective at the moment coming off the bench which is OK but unless we can find a first choice striker then we still have problems

That's an interesting and quite astonishing statistic. Too bad Dawson's early strike didn't go in. He did everything right there but it was just an inch too high. We've had so many games like that this season. Lots of games where the teams we played against probably couldn't believe that they escaped a 10 goal thrashing.

I would love to see us deliver a 10 goal thrashing. Could restore a bit of belief too  :D

Time, energy and money........... Great day out but I'm gutted. I missed the bloody goal as well! Journey home was the best I've had. I hope TFL have some new trains for tomorrow....
