Utter disgrace
« on: February 22, 2011, 10:07:59 PM »
What a complete waste of time. We had the chance to go third and we bottled it. Garbage. We are not fit to even consider we are goiod enough to qualify for the CL next year. A complete dissappointment. Fed up of all these new dawns. We always make it hard for ourselves and theer is no need. Strikers? Do we have any? We seem to get more from our midfield. Karnjcar up front with VDV may just help us salvage something this year.

Don't forget that we made it almost impossible for us to finish 4th last season and then we finished 4th. I'm not saying that's what will happen this season but there's still a number of games left and this is a pretty unusual season as far as results go.

Its a chance missed yes, but not the end of our campaign to win a CL place again not by a long way.

I switched off today as I knew we just would not pull it off, it was one of those games, shed loads of chances and it just wouldnt happen for us.

If we played piss poor and created no chances, then yeah I would be feeling like you Holtspur but we played well created chances and are now no doubt regretting not planning and sounding out a decent striker in the last transfer window.  Finishing was poor and Blackpool defended top notch.

Hopefully the lads will put this behind them and get 3 points in the next match!

We have no game now until Sunday 6th March, away to Wolves (on live on Sky)....i suggest going back to basics will be on the agenda from now to then....preferably shooting practice, and teaching Bassong how to defend....i said it before and i'll say it again...he's not good enough for Tottenham Hotspur...he's brutal and a liability.

Wolves is a massive game for us now but one thinks that Harry might make a few changes or rest our so called better players as the 2nd leg against Milan is 3 days later...dont be surprised if we come away from Wolves with no points...and if that is the case...we may kiss goodbye to 4th place!!

Someone said on another forum that he's supposedly fallen out with Redknapp. Apparently he's been training, so he's not injured. Of course this is just what someone on a forum told me. No idea if it's true. That's pretty effing sad if that's why.

Not a great result, and gutted but the main issue is we play a lot of the teams off the park ( b/pool 8 & spurs 25 attempts at goal), issue being we got no out & out striker of top class, been the problem all season & we're still fourth don't forget due mainly to the midfield.
Most important part of Tottenham these days is how we bounce back after this result.
Hutton issue is due to personal issues either with Redknapp or player, seems after the Fulham game somthing went on.

We're Tottenham

Tbh i'm not happy. I don't care if we played well!  If we play well every week and lose will you be happy then? NO.

We NEEDED 3 points and they ballsed it up!

And the reason because Harry has finally said something about his TRUE BELIEF about our chances of finishing in the top four and with this result I do see that he passed that belief onto the players... Apparently he can't perform miracles!!!! WTF.  That's so negative it annoys the crap out of me.   :tickedoff:  Grrrrr

For those who wish to see some short highlights of last night's match, follow this link - http://www.footytube.com/video/blackpool-tottenham-hotspur-feb22-74140. I lost count of how many times Blackpool cleared off the line. An opportunity to go third was missed,  and we could have had five goals yesterday. Ho hum.

Whoa there we lose one game away and we are a disgrace, last week we beat AC Milan. Before last night we won 4 on the spin, get a grip, it's a blip we had something like 30 shots last night and 12 - 15 on target with at least 3 cleared of the line. Credit Blackpool they gave everything last night, rode their luck and it paid off !!!

I'm not happy but it was far from a disgrace, if you support Spurs you should be well used to this kind of thing, we all know it will be close for the top four spots and theres alot of football to be played yet.... and we are far from out of it !!!!

Holtspurs.... what you 'supporters (is that what you call yourself then ??) don't seem to appreciate is that you are right, we aren't competing for Top4.... we are competing for Top3..

there are 3 teams competing for that slot and we are far from out of it (Citeh are only 2pts ahead in 3rd).... 2 teams outta the 3 competing for 3rd will also get Top4, and I really do suspect Spurs to be 1 of them (ooohh, shut that door)..

I really thought we did pretty well.... God had his tangerine shirt on last night.... thats the only diff..

Wow i thought the world had ended when i opened this thread.

We lost, it was almost to be expected we are not good enough to win 5-6-7 games on the bounce it doesnt matter who we play. Some weeks you get the luck some you don't.

No need to slate a team that has taken us to highs unknown to most of us for the last 40 years.

On another night we would have stuffed them, we didnt last night. We wont give up and i stick with my prediction that around 65 points will see us close to 4th.

I must be going soft because i smiled when i seen all those young Blackpool fans screaming and happy at the end of the match. Good luck to them it is what football has always and will always be about.

No wonder Spurs fans are considered to be fickle. Teams unfortunately lose games, live with it.
