Redknapp Teasing Mancini
« on: February 12, 2011, 12:56:55 AM »

HARRY REDKNAPP has turned up the heat on Roberto Mancini by saying that he is under huge pressure to deliver Champions League football at Manchester City this season.
Redknapp’s Tottenham pipped City to a place in Europe’s elite last May and have threatened to remain in the top four in the current campaign.
But ahead of the early evening kick-off at Sunderland, Redknapp feels the onus is on Mancini to take his own side’s place following heavy investment from City owner Sheikh Mansour.
“I suppose if someone said that there is £200 million to spend and then you never got in the top four, then that is the end of you, isn’t it?” said Redknapp. “We haven’t spent massive money, but we’re still right there again and have the chance of making the top four.”
But after losing out to West Ham in the bid to take control of the Olympic Stadium, Redknapp fears Tottenham’s 36,000-capacity stadium means they will be left behind the big clubs in matching wages and transfer fees. “It’s hard to compete unless we have a stadium that can attract 60,000 people,” he said.

Spurs however, are still challenging for a top-four finish, after taking advantage of Chelsea, Ars*nal and Manchester United dropping points last weekend with their home win over Bolton. The game at Sunderland is followed by a trip to the San Siro on Tuesday for their Champions League last-16 first leg against AC Milan.
Gareth Bale, Rafael van der Vaart and Luka Modric are battling to be fit for Europe, after being ruled out of today’s match. Van der Vaart has a calf strain, Modric is recovering after having his appendix out, while Bale suffered a setback from his back injury this week.
Should Spurs slip up at Sunderland and then fail to finish in the top four, the alternative of the Europa League is almost unthinkable.

I have no idea what a DDOS attack is but it sounds a bit like a girl with large breasts attacking us? Is there any video of the attack as i would like to watch that one day?

Harry's attemp at mind-games -He's right of course. Your heads on the block if you spend that type of money and don't deliver CL football. Having got there after years of trying it would seem like a wasted opportunity if we could not maintain that this year. 5th would be a disappointment.

Typical harry. Unloading his mouth prior to a fall. Needs to button it. Man city will finish in top four. We are unlikely to do the same.

4th Place, 2 points behind Citeh and a game in hand, last 16 of the Champs League playing the Italian Champions, best squad we've had for years and we are winning games that a few years ago we would of given up before kick off.

That will do to start with c'mon stop looking at the negatives, our cup is half full not half empty !!!!
