West Ham win race for O/S

bbc breaking news: West ham have won the race to take over the Olympic Stadium after the 2012 games
Good or Bad, i am not sure to be honest, been a season ticket hold whl for over 30 years but i understand things need to change not sure Stratford was the answer but where? if Harringay council keep mucking us about i can appricate Levy wanting to tell them to stick it and what happens to the area then you would think that they would be bending over backwards to give spurs whatever then need. also you now Karen Brady will be in every paper and on every tv show crowing about this and how they beat us!!!!

How are they going to fill that while playing in the Championship?

IF you are as old as me, you will remember Lord Coe, or Sebastian as his twat father Peter decided to name him, as the arrogant, preening, self-obsessed little prick that lost in both Olympic 800 metres and popularity stakes to Steve Ovett.

He was an annoying little f**ker then and, frankly, nowt's changed

So if we don't get the OS and we can't redevelop WHL what are we going to do about a new stadium? And where is it supposed to go?

Didnt levy say if we didnt get the O/S, we will still be leaving Tottenham?

I have no idea what a DDOS attack is but it sounds a bit like a girl with large breasts attacking us? Is there any video of the attack as i would like to watch that one day?

I believe so. I think he said it had become impossible to build a stadium there.

His athletics career ended when he caught gladular fever  and the gyms named after him are for whimpy little prats that want to be seen to be working out but lift feck all...... the "I work out" types and the facilities are super shyte!

Now back on topic...... bit gutted as the stadium itself would have been good for us and our development, and what we would have done to surrounding facilities would have been of great benefit to atheltics!  But all things happen for a reason we are destined for sumin better and hopefully closer to home.

On a final note Karen Brady is worth a go, lets be honest now  :hide:
THFC "COYS" and that is all I have to say about that!

not a fan of Seb Coe, he may not have won the 800m Olympic gold, but he did win the 1500m gold instead.... so put that in your pipe Bolty..

as for Haringay council (or any other council) having to bend over backwards to accommodate any private company (even a sports franchise) is laughable.... the councils are there so that the TAXPAYER is not fleeced by another business yet again claiming to support the entire area not to mention the whole universe at large by being in the locale... and that local-government should be forlock-tuggingly ever grateful for such a privelege... if Spurs and Levy dont like the deal offered, they can always feck off and go play in the Shetland Islands...

on this occasion, the right decision was made.... Levy's idea of bulldozing 500m worth of stadium simply cos he doesnt like an ickle lil running-track is frankly pathetic.... to think that in these economic climes, you can simply torch 500m pounds of TAXPAYER MONEY is, quite frankly, obscene...

Spurs should have won the bid hands-down, with the running-track intact..... if you look at the major football stadia of the world, you'll notice that the gibbering fans do not sit almost on top of the players at throw-ins or corners, and makes for a less savage environment, WITHOUT RUINING THE ATMOSPHERE.... just check out any Bindesliga match on tv, and youll see this for yourself...

While I understand why normally councils should not give in to everything but have u been to tottenham recently if spurs move out of the area it dies there is nothing else there it becomes a no go area I live around there for a number of years I ain't great! The could are morning about keeping listed buildings but the is a property in Bruce grove which has a blue plaque (the only on in harringey) the council have basically the this full down

Bolty.... being economical with the truth does you no credit.... aint a fan of Toryboy Coe myself, but he DID win an Olympic gold medal so lets not belittle that achievement..... not to mention the world-records he made too..

the area around Tottenham may be an eye-sore but thats exactly what makes the area affordable for alot of poor people, especialy new immigrants, to allow them to live in the Greater-London metropolis.... if it was 'gentrified' and went upcoming, all you'd get are City-types from the home-counties moving in to be closer to work, and the pl who maintain both private and public service-sector would not be able to be there.... no nurses, no bin-men, no teachers,no carers, no social-workers,  etc etc....

Levy should now concentrate his efforts (and no doubt considerable part of club-revenues) into the new stadium elsewhere and GTFO....
