pav finally getting impatient

Seems pav has finally become impatient at his lack of opportunities at the club and failure to be given any consecutive run in the side despite having an excellent goal to minute ratio compared to his peers who are always the favoured option despite their poor returns this season. It must be frustrating to think whatever you do the manager doesnt rate you.

I rate Pav, but if he's not interested he sucks! but I would like to see him given more opportunities.

After all his purple patch this time last season showed what he can do when he wants to - my problem with Pav is he doesn't always want to! Grrr

Hard to understand why Harry doesn't use him.

A far better option than Crouch and Defoe.

its actually very easy to understand why Crouch )and Defoe) are mainly used...

because of Vaart's limited movement and a lack of a decent lone-striker option, Arry rightly has tried to use Crouch as a 'hub' of attacking plays (especiallly with the long diagonal pass) and using 'midfield' runners eg. Lennon, Vaart and even Defoe to pick up the 2nd ball and hopefully get strikes on goal....

if Vaart is taken out of the team, it gives us options to 'play thru midfield' and use 2 mobile strikers eg. Defoe and Pav, to draw defenders out of position and THEN attack the penalty-area (usually from the flanks)..... this more 'attractive' way of playing was shown in the 2nd half in the last game, with Defoe-Pav upfront and 2 widemen in Pienaar and Lennon, in a 4-4-2....

simples.

GK really doesnt like VdV do ya petal, is it is hair style you dont approve off or the fact the fact that the caravan he grew up in when he was a kid is better than yours

Which will be your next Spurs player that you will turn every thread into a campaign against as its clear you are now board of trying to put down Modric all so very yawn yawn.

I would like to see Pav used more if we want goals we need strikers that can put the ball away, Defoe and Giraffes strike rate this season says it all piss poor.  Maybe try of 3rd choice keeper up front also cant be worse than Crouch!

I like Pav but i hate it when players come out and start moaning and whining about game time, manager etc. He clearly is not one of Harrys favourites but for god sake he must get games before the end of the season because when he is having a good day he is capable of putting the ball in the net. If he wants to leave then sell to the highest bidder in the summer. YID ARMY

The thing that is most shocking, Pav has got the most goals out of all strikers and he's still not been given a run in the side.

i would be pissed to if it was me

While I dont agree at all with players throwing their toys out the pram in public and flexing there jaws to the media, I understand how totally f**ked off Pav is.  To top it all he along with everyone else knows that defoe and Crouch dont get the nod based on form or playing merrit its personal from Arry!

Some quotes from Pav below!

Pavlyuchenko said: "I don't understand why Redknapp keeps me on the bench. He says nothing about it.

"I don't want to be among the subs after a successful game, where I scored a goal.

"Frankly, I'm tired of waiting for another chance. I had a groin injury but I was fully prepared for the last two games against Blackburn and Bolton.

"And I didn't even get a chance in the FA Cup game at Fulham when we were 4-0 down.

"At the same time Redknapp says in interviews he needs me and is not going to sell me. My agent had a meeting with chairman Daniel Levy but it won't change anything.

"The chairman can't get me on the pitch just because it is his will and the coach forgot."

Pavlyuchenko has 18 months left on his contract and says Redknapp does not believe in him - no matter what.

The striker, 29, added in Russian paper Sport Express: "I'm convinced the coach does not believe in me. I'm happy at Spurs. I like club's traditions, the level of the team, the fans' attitude.

"But Redknapp's disbelief brings all that to nothing. I'm fed up with this attitude.

"If nothing changes by the summer - and I don't think it will - I will ask them to sell me or for a loan move.

"I don't need money, I want to play football."

Thats what you want but...you want him annoyed that he is not playing and you what him banging down the managers down looking to know why hes not playing...i would be more worried if Pav just sat on the bench saying nothing and picking up wages for doing nothing...i've a feeling he might get the nod over Crouch on saturday! ;)

the majority of your comments on the Crouch/Defoe/Pav argument do at least prove to me why intelligent managers with true insight and the ability to see thru the glaringly unrealistically OBVIOUS are worth their weight in gold..

Crouch  = few goals so far.... Defoe = few goals..... Pav = great scorer with high strike-rate so far..

so obvious..... innit peeps..... you should all be managing CL clubs surely  :ohyeah:

Can understand his frustration. Feel the writing is on the wall and that he will leave. just hope if he does we have somebody lined up before the last day of the transfer window. Don't want to hear that we're bidding £38 million for somebody that clearly doesn't want to come or whose club has no intention of selling.

Let's face it, unless he's 3 yards in front of goal with an open net he won't score.  Whenever he play's I watch him closely and if there's a forward who gets caught offside more times than him i've yet to see him.  He hasn't got a footballing brain.  Get rid.
