"He could do much better than Jenas through the middle. He's a more dynamic midfielder in my opinion. On the other side of the coin it probably means bye bye to Kranjcar."

Good shout Dedley, he has certainly played a good few games for Everton through the middle and has a lot more to his game than Jenas.

I think you are right there this definately signals the end for Kranjcar.  Jenas will remain as a handy squad player for us nothing more, maybe he and Pie will be our midfield backbone during our carling cup campaign next season.

Back to being serious now...Its great we now have competition and cover for Lennon on the right and thats most likely where Pie will be used.

I cant understand why you all think Pienaar will be a sub or only used in lesser games..mybe its the price tag thats making youse think that?...Dont be surprised if Pienaar pushs Lennon out of the frame altogether..he's a great signing....mybe the signing that can keep us in the top four...this wee man has it all..he can score and create goals...he's excellent on the ball...running at defenders..getting his cross away(Lennon gets 1/3 crosses in)..his passing is clean and crisp...he's got a good engine and and most of all when he gets a chance he scores.

A great signing at a great price.

Certainly much more of a worry for Lennon than Bentley ever was. I cant see him replacing Modric or vdV although will be good cover for both and not really a defensive midfielder, All in all a good addition who can do a job in a variety of positions for a decent price. Now lets go get a quality striker.

Pienaar will be seen as an equal to Lennon or Bale, in their respective positions.... good thing too..

I'd love to see Andros T. developed into the team soon... I feel he will be a worthy successor to Bale next season..

Pienaar is a great addition for the spurs. Quick on the pitch with the ability to get past his opposing defenders. Him wilson and modric will open up space for the strikers upfront.

Love this signing.

Pienaar is the perfect player to able to bring on when we need to give players a rest, or if Lennon is having one those games where he doesn't impact it.

I think he can cover all accross the midfield and has more craft than Kranjcar who I think will be leaving if the right bid comes in. A shame really as I really think he's a quality player.

I think Bentley is done at Spurs and we will sell him to Birmingham after his loan or anyone else that matches Levy's valuation.

It's Pienaar butter jelly time!

Agreed.  I think it was a good move bringing him to the Lane.  I'm guessing Niko will be moving on soon.

Pienaar is an excellent player. In his period at Ajax he was also one of the best. I am very curious about his career at spurs. It's nice to see Van der Vaart and Pienaar playing together again.
