Not great insider knowledge. We have been linked with Piernaar for quite awhile. Apparently we tried to get him in the closed season and we have been linked with him again in the Jan window.

Yes for me, i think experience would really be good for our squad. Especially for  the Premiership title battle and of course the champs league. He could teach Bale, Bentley or heck all our set pieces takers a thing or two to take em. Loan at best and massive Shirt sales!

Harry Redknapp will attempt to bring former England captain David Beckham to White Hart Lane on loan from LA Galaxy in January.The Major League Soccer season restarts on 15 March, giving Redknapp hope of a temporary deal for the 35-year-old.
"We'll contact LA Galaxy to see if they will let him go and if David is up for a three-month deal, we will definitely be interested," said Redknapp.
Beckham had similar spells on loan at Italian club AC Milan in 2009 and 2010.
The former Manchester United and Real Madrid wideman was born and raised in north London and trained at Tottenham before signing his first professional deal with the Red Devils.
Redknapp insists that the intense media coverage that would accompany Beckham's return to the Premier League for the first time since 2003 would not derail his side's title ambitions.
"I don't think it would be a distraction. Once you're in here, the gates are shut," he added.

  There just a few of the reason off the top of my head, so for me it's a no brainer trying to bring him over on loan

He will obviously get a wage cut coming here, or we will only pay a small & of his wages.

So what harm can it do?

He will be willing to sit on the bench and be used as a impact player.

Personally i think Beckham best postilion these days are in the middle with a 3 man midfield.

Becks will play a HUGE PART if he comes, in our title run-in and CL run ... he can also still play abit to and hopefully give a few pointers to Modric on how to pwoperly play CM when you dont have the ball... Becks/Modric over 93mins equals one fully-fit world-class CM over 93mins...
