That Benzema loan deal rumour (with option to buy) has really picked up the pace today especially in the last few hours, lots of media outlets are reporting it. If it happens this could be just what were looking for!

On Talksport tonight they had a journo on from the Mirror who had been at the club today and said there was a huge signing in the pipeline that would be announced in the next day or so. He said the club had confirmed that they are about to sign someone but won't say who but he said he knew but couldn't say, the Talksport presenters straight away assumed it was Beckham. Maybe its Benzema but apparantly 'Arry has been given licence to spend and spend big to try and secure the Premier League, apparantly a quote from 'Arry himself.

As much as i love Benzema i just couldnt see Mourinho letting their only fit striker leaving unless someone Ala Dzeko goes there instead to Manciteh.

Chances of it being a smoke screen maybe but for who?  I mean loads of clubs would jump at the chance to take Benzema on loan seems to goo dto be true but is defo interesting.

Exciting though isn't it ? I love all the gossip and speculation. Imagine the teams we would have had over the years if even half the players we have been linked with actually turned up.

Now the papers are saying today that there is a strong chance it is Luis Fabiano (same deal loan with view for permanent). This seems more likely because Harry already said in the summer that he rates him as a top player, we enquired about with his club Seville, and also recently he has been sat on the bench. I can see this one happening more than the Benzema deal. They are both top players but who is better? Which one would you prefer? For me either i dont mind because they will both bang them in for us! Also Woodgate has now got Celtic, Leeds, Middlesborough, QPR ALL after him for a loan deal, which is good so he can get fit and hopefully come back and play again with us. YID ARMY

Woodgate's Spurs days are OVER..... he wil be loaned indefinately and be off our wage-bill..

Fabiano deal has been mooted, but my sources tell me this is purely as a backup to the Benzema-loan now Bale-swap deal in the summer.... Arry really wants this 1 as he sees it as the most significant.... Levy is more focussed on Becks-loan deal (and Arry abit annoyed with this)....

Pienaar deal is so done, you could put your grannies savings on it with Bill Hill...

Can we sign Chimbonda (that's 'ChimBomba' in David PleatMeister World)...we haven't done that for a while (I'm having withdrawal symptoms).

I think the new talk about a licence to spending big is just done so buying clubs wont think that we are desperate to buy but have to sell 1st.... that way the buying clubs wont bid peanuts, thinking we'll take anything in order to only then go ahead with any buys ourselves...

Benzema loan, Pienaar buy.... possibly Beckham loan....... thats it for new faces methinks..

hope to finally sell Keano, Bentlegs.... hopefully Dos Santos, O'Hara, even Crouch and Chore Luka......

Oh, and while we're at it, we should also sell Modric as he is to lightweight, van der Vaart as he doesn't have the right players to play with at Spurs, Bale because he would be much better somewhere else, Woodgate because you don't like him, Dawson as he actually cannot defend. Did I miss anyone?

Ignore Gareth he hasnt got a clue and is just trying to wind you Riff mate. Today they are saying the Beckham deal will be done within the next day or two and also David Bentley will move to Newcastle on either a loan or permanent (im not sure which) but i think its a loan deal. I would love to see Bentley go and prove himself at Newcastle and come back to us strong and playing well. COYS

Alternatively, we can sell Keane and buy him back when his form has dropped away even further (Is that possible??)  :santa_smiley:

never said Vaart needs selling, we just need the right striker ahead of him.... yesterday showed how toothless we are with Pav ahead of Vaart (who really plays in midfield mostly, isolating Pav upfront who aint a lone-striker at all)...

Defoe upfront ahead of Vaart is even worse.... Crouch there is only slightly better, but we have to play the longball-game when that happens, which cramps our style...

sooner Benzema comes the better.... and you know what follows then dont you....

Downing for the summer.

and Ugsy.... Jenas is a CM, Messi is a winger/striker.... the 2 are not interchangeable (otherwise it may well have happened)... :santa_tongue:
