Man City rejects?
« on: December 03, 2010, 11:51:55 AM »
Man City is reportedly planning a clearance sale in January with Joleon Lescott, Wayne Bridge, Shay Given, Roque Santa Cruz, Shaun Wright-Phillips and Emmanuel Adebayor bound to leave. Who would you take (if any)?

I'd go for Bridge because we could use a back-up for Assou-Ekotto.

SWP would be even better.... can play both right or left flank...

we won't be getting any of Al Citeh's players.... they'd rather give them away for nothing,  to  Prem teams beginning with the letter 'W'... then allow them to play for their biggest rival (thats us by the way, peeps)...

Bridge as back up for definite and maybe Santa Cruz, if I remember rightly we were sniffing round him before he went to Citeh.

I don't know if it's worth us bringing in another left back unless he's better than BAE. We can always move Bale to LB if BAE gets injured.

Ive always rated Roque Santa Cruz. He is awesome and i think he would be great addition to our squad. Although im not sure if he is that special signing!

This is a problem, because Bale is our best weapon to hurt defenders.

Bridge can do a good job for us, and I believe he's an better option than BAE.

I really rate BAE but recently he's been abit too complacent... maybe he needs some competition for the LB role....

Bridge would be good as he ticks alot of boxes re. experience, ability..... if we get Pienaar too that would give depth to both midfield flank positions too...

chuck in Jay Bothroyd for upfront, and I'd be well happy in Januarywith those 3 only...

Santa Cruz seems a good finisher but in all the games I've seen he's been rather static.

Anyway, this is all academic as I'm sure that Man C would not let anyone good join us. (Craig Bellamy!)

Santa Cruz would be great for us along with Bridge to challenge the shakey BAE.

I would have really liked Bellamy to join us before, they wouldnt allow it so no chance of any of them really!

A high reputed coach within Spurs has told my contacts that Harry is preparing a bid for Joleon Lescott in January.

Lescott would be a Arry-type purchase as he can play CB as well as LB (so excellent cover there for BAE)....

but Al Citeh will simply refuse to strengthen their biggest rival for Top4.... a 5yr old could tell it will never happen..
