 I am sitting here having watched Spurs yet again come from behind to win a game. Not against a poor team but against Liverpool another one of the traditional top 4 teams, and I am starting to believe that this isn't just a phase that we are going through but that our beloved Spurs have finally woken from the nightmare of mediocraty that has been the last 15-20 years. No longer do heads drop when we concede, instead there is a steely gaze in the eyes of our players that says ' you scored - so what - we will just score more - lets have it!' and then they do just that. The tide has changed at Spurs and who knows where we can get to now, we just need to keep riding the wave. C.O.Y.S

I know mate, its crazy. It;s a totally different mentally now compared to a few seasons ago.

An increadable belief in their own abilities and a great determination has been drilled into this group of players by the coaching staff.
 
And....its great to see.
 
Gone are the days of when we concede first, and the "well wev'e lost now" thoughts i've had all time over the last 20 years!

It's certainly hard to predict how any match will end up, even at half time.

It is hard to predict, but you know what? I love that even when we went a goal down today, I wasn't sitting there at half time thinking that they were going to turn is over completely. I could have seen us losing and it was very close, but I knew they weren't going to just roll over and take it. Our squad is determined to play to the whistle now and I think after doing that and seeing the results, they're more and more determined every game. I've always admired that quality about United (even though it is usually at our expense) and I'm thrilled to see that determination when we play.

I have so many horror memories of us getting prison raped, that I feel like I'm in counseling with Spurs and each time we come back from behind to win they help with the trauma I've endured over the years.

We seem to have developed some desire and pride, which is something you can't buy or teach. I think having Van der Vaart and Gallas, to a lesser extent, who have actually tasted success on a larger stage has instilled some belief into the rest of the squad, Van der Vaart especially as he is a 'Winner'.
 
Does anyone else think that Van der Vaart is a bit like Gazza in the way he plays and his slightly off the wall attitude on the pitch, you know berating the ref and his mis timed and wacky challenges, but then a moment of pure magic !

I think the confidence that VDV carries is fantastic for us to have around. I would imagine it helps players like Lennon and Bale immensely. He doesn't doubt his ability and to be honest, why should he? It's the same with Gallas, but I think in a different way. As a defender and one who suffered backlash from the fans at Ars*nal, he's shown some real backbone not only by coming to White Heart Lane, but by having to play when everyone knew he wasn't fit. He knew what he was getting into, but he has fought to get fit and instead of letting that get to his head he has turned in some really impressive performances.

VDV does remind me of Gazza in a less dopey sort of way. There's something very exciting about when he plays because you know he's capable of anything and has the audacity to try it. I really do love that in certain footballers. He does that without carrying an obnoxious ego, like Gazza, which is special. I think that type of attitude will help other players come out of their shells and believe in themselves.

Recent performances are certainly giving us huge belief and confidence when facing a higher calibre team, many of the players we still  have are from the head dropping roll over and get butt raped times, but they are like new players the team is now more focused and has more fight even at 4 down (the inter game)

Whatever Arry has been doing its certainly coming toegther!
