What are your thoughts on him? Do we need a LB in the summer?

My opinion has changed on LYP and he has played v.well recently. His final ball is still poor and he seems lightweight but he is doing well. A right footer on the left still is outrageous at this level. I would like us to get a solid LB like Chimbo in the summer.

Improved a hell of a lot compared to last season, still not propper confident in him as he get's bullied of the ball.
And he can't cross for toffee.

Definitely improved from last year, but like you both said he can't cross. I don't think he's made an assist since he joined us.

I think we need someone better in that position, because he makes mistakes and lacks the confidence going forward to pose any real threat. Plus he can get skinned way too easily.

He has improved amazingly since last year.

He has also impressed me over the past few games I've seen him in..

The way he pushes up the wing makes him look like Roberto Carlos :D

Yeah i agree he has improved a hell of a lot recently, alot more consistent. He does manage to get forward a hell of a lot but then his effort is wasted by his delivery, even with his right foot his crosses rarely get past the 1st man. I dont know if any1 agrees with me but i thought erik edman was a pretty decent left back n we got rid of him.

LYP will do for now but if we want to move forward we could really do with a class left back (not many around i know).

I agree with you Daz that Lee's crosses do rarely manage to get past the first man, however isn't that what training is for? Surely Jol & Tottenham coaches see that Young Pyo struggles to get crosses in the box, so they will then work on it?

I mean, he isn't brilliant, but he isn't half bad.. and he will do for now. If a talented young left-back comes up in the next transfer window, like Gareth Bale, Matty Taylor etc, then I will smile and say "Lets have him!" :D

Just once i would like to see him play on the right if only to see if his delivery improves. I like him, he loves to get forward and he's been playing well in the last month or so but it's ridiculous having such a right footed player playing on the left. I think he may be on his way in the summer if a left footed left back can be acquired.

Yeh i agree with what your saying lew, dont get me wrong i cant knock the committment he gives week in week out and like u said he aint half bad, he does get forward loads but the amount of times he has done really well to get in a great position n looks like there might be an end product but then his cross ends up getting hoofed away.

Anyway like u said hopefully they will get this sorted in training and he'l start whipping some awesome crosses in.

Yeh he was a very good player, got forward alot n solid in defending and he also had a good season. That goal alone that he scored against liverpool should of guarenteed him another season lol.

I think YP Lee gets a bit of a hard time from fans. I think he's a fairly decent player, he gets forward a lot and he's far more confident than last season. Definitely better than Assou-Ekotto in my opinion. Can't shoot to save his life though.

Not sure about Edman.  He did a good job as one of Arnesen's numerous signings, when we more or less rebuilt the squad in one summer (didn't we have about 8 debutants that first match??).

But after his head injury, I didn't feel he was ever quite as good.  One incredible goal against Liverpool, but didn't create that much, and a little dodgy at the back.

I reckon YPL is an improvement.  I also think BAE is quite promising for the long term.
