Absolutely amazing on the ball tonight. Not so hot with some miss-placed headers but otherwise one of the best performances i have seen from the little magician. Kept it, looked around, kept it and used it, very simple but so important.

Yeah, i thought he was brilliant tonight, one of the best games i have seen him play in a long time.

you can see Italian football suits him to a tee, with the lack of pressure and they players standing off.

Yeah my mate(spurs fan too)was saying that last night,as we were praising his wonderful preformance..if he could add more goals to his game...he would be a top top player..he is already, but i think he should be chipping in with more goals.

I agree he should certainly be scoring more regular as he gets into the right positions enough.
 
Always feel that he has the accuracy but sometimes lacks the power, i have lost count of the times when some keeper has pulled off a 'one for the cameras' style save from a top corner effort. Perhpas Thud can teach him some power hits!
 
Heard a lot of pundits rave about Modric today (obviously after they finished discussing Bale) it is good that the performance is being recognised as a team effort although Bale deserves his individual praise.

I dont think Modric is a much of a goal-scorer tho, more of a play-maker player.

Agree with Southend, I dont think Modders is the kind of player who scores alot. Maybe just 10 goals per season if lucky enough. But he can assist though either way i think he could try and add more. Wont hurt to try, he plays in the same role as VdV before and i think VdV Could teach him a few tricks to score . Modders can pass but just lack the cutting edge infront of goal.

Modric had plenty of chances to shoot at goal against Inter but every time he chose to pass the ball to somebody else. Maybe he doesn't feel himself confortable with shooting from the distance...

Modric floats like a butterfly and stings like one too.... as long as he and Lennon refrain from their powderpuff-shooting and pass to someone else  (even in a worse position) I'll be happy...

great team performance that worked cos we actualy PUSHED THE FULLBACKS FORWARD on both sides.... the only way youre gonna get the midfield up to support Crouch IN THE FINAL THIRD....

hope Arry sticks with the ploy.... even if 'theoretically' it may leave us more open to the counter.... bu in practice, I doubt tthis would happen cos we will have far more possession.....bit like the 1st half against Citeh in August..

LUKA MODRIC REBUFFS SPURS EXIT TALK.
 
Tottenham playmaker Luka Modric has rebuffed speculation that he could leave White Hart Lane for Spanish champions Barcelona.
The Croatia international has been linked with a move to Camp Nou   with the Catalan giants reportedly willing to pay upwards of £30million   to secure his signature.
Modric is happy at Spurs and committed his future to the club as   recently as May by putting pen-to-paper on a new six-year contract.


The 25-year-old is flattered to be linked with a move to Pep   Guardiola's charges, although he is happy and settled in England's   capital and enjoying being a Tottenham player.
Modric insists the only way you will get him flying to Barcelona is   if Harry Redknapp's side draw the Primera Liga giants in the knock-out   phase of the UEFA Champions League.

"Me going to Barcelona? Yes, I really hope that, but only as a   Tottenham player in the next round of the Champions League," he joked in   an interview with SportskeNovosti.
"Let's be serious. All this is just so-called exclusive rumours, but I   don't know who really needs them. Are they funny? Yes, they are very   funny for me.

"But of course, it is always nice to see your name being linked with   such a club as Barcelona, but one has to keep their feet on the ground.

"At the end of the day it's just rumours without any foundation. And I   really don't want to talk about all this anymore. Since I moved here   newspapers are always talking about me leaving for somewhere else.
"First it was Chelsea, then Inter Milan and also Manchester United,   now it is Barcelona. But the only truth is that I just recently signed a   new contract with Tottenham.

"London is such a great place and at White Hart Lane I feel just like   home. I know that the fans are happy with me, I have all the support I   need to develop even more.
"I can make my football dreams come true with Tottenham and that is why all my thoughts and also my future is with this club."
