McCleren went to Wolfberg, so Twente have lost there coach too.

Bremen and Twente are Europa league teams at best, i think we should be beating both of them.

I think that anyone writing off Inter because they changed their coach is deluding themselves.  He might look like a Spanish waiter, but Rafa Benitez has pedigree in this competition and I think it's remiss to even consider writing them off.

They're only 3 months older than when they won the competition...what a difference 90 days can make eh?

Yeah i agree, you can't right Inter off just based on the players they have alone.

But on paper we have a better team than Bremen and Twente, we should be looking to go through from this group

Inter must be favorites to top the group but I can't see any reason we won't go through from this group. I would be more than happy to reach the knock out stages I think that is sucess from our first champs league adventure.

I really dont think it even matters to qualify to the next phase of L - but I do think we will actually win it..

Inter are an ageing team, and tho both Benitez and Mourinho are specialist at eliminating defensive errors which is essential to winning a knock-out contest like the latter stages will be - I think they can be vulnerable to the questions we can ask them..

we have far less pressure to progress and I think that is going to help us to top the group.... after all..

Gallas is certain to play in Europe if not the Prem... that should mean no Dawson against Inter, Bremen and 20...

I wouldn't say Inter are an ageing team, they still have young players, Julio Cesar - 29, Lucio - 32, Maicon - 29, Samuel - 29, Chivu - 29, Cambiasso - 30, Sneijder - 26, Eto'o 29, Pandev - 27. Mallito - 31, Muntari - 25 and they all played in the Champions League final last year

That's not exactly AC Milan old, even Chelsea have a older team than that.

I do think at the San Siro will be tough, but we could potentially get 9pts at home

I live in Italy and have watched Inter run away with Seria A in the last few years. At their best, they are awesome. Even on a bad day they are almost impossible to score against. I don’t fancy our chances at all.

I saw the Werder Bremen against Sampdoria qualifying games on TV and they looked like very good going forward but also very poor when defending. I reckon they will be two games with lots of goals.

No idea about Twente but if we can get 6 points off them, then we probably only need 3 or 4 points against Werder and Inter to get through.

Good news is that it could have been much worse (e.g. Milan, Real Madrid and Auxerre)…..

also lets not forget that we can play quite well now against the better teams - teams that will actually come onto us and play an open game.... we can struggle unduly against the Stokes, Wolves and the like...

the only hing that Inter have predominantly in their favour is their huge experience in the CL - but sometimes lack of experience can be a good thing (no negative experiences to dwell on) and the lack of pressure to win and progress will be an advantage...

if we get a Fabiano-type player by 2/9/10 then we are definately in business.. Bremen are a solid side but not hugely talented and they have slow CBs and an ageing slowish Pizarro as main striker. If we match them for industry we have more pace and more options upfront..

we're now passed the stage of needing to win.... we are there now and so lets just enjoy it..

McLaren is at Wolfsburg now.

I think we had a fair chance of progress to the round of 16.

Inter are the clear favourites of the group, but I think we're at the same level of Bremen.

I think we goot a decent draw in the end . Two games against the reigning champions and two decent sides who i think we can beat but will give us a good test .This is what the ECL is all about.
If your not spurs you`re dead to me

Must take you up on this Biggsy. We must now consider ourselves to be one of the 'Bigboys' and I believe we are. I think we will grow during the ompetition as well

Always remembering that we will have to come in the top 4 in the league and concentrate on both fronts

We CAN do it I believe wee will progress in the CL We are an improving team and need only fullbacks, and maybe Diarra (Palacios really is off form or not good enough. He will get sent off and leave us withy 10) Sandro may be Great in addition The talent is there. THINK BIG

Bring them on what a great oppertunity to play the best and show Europe what we can do, and i am sure they would have liked other teams than us,playing at home we will not fear anyone.i cant wait surely this is what we wanted, better to slay a  wolf than a sheep.

Its not that i want to write off Inter. Rafa is a great coach for champs league that has always been the case but we have experiences against Rafa tactic's and i really really think we can go up to them Inter's man to man. Although i wouldnt enjoy Rafa's setpiece's tactics since he is really good at setting up goals from there (And we seem to be conceding from setpieces too).

Nevertheless!!! If we top the group from our home games!! And who knows win 1 of them away games :D Id eat my hat hehe.. right now i just want to enjoy our maiden run in the Group stages...
