Champions League Qualifying - Who we could face
« on: May 06, 2010, 09:35:59 PM »
Seen as we have now have guaranteed fourth place in the Premier League and therefore entry into the Champions League final qualifying round. Of course should we not overhaul Ars*nal into 3rd by Sunday evening, i found out who we could be drawn against. If we do overtake the Scum, this will all be irrelevant ha. Any way, I thought i would post who we could potentialy play in the qualifers..

As things stand in Europe, around the top leagues in Spain, Germany, Holland, Italy, Scotland and Russia. Here are the clubs currently occupying their countries final Champions League spot.

Servilla
Sampdoria
Werder Bremen
Ajax
Celtic
Zenit St Petersburg

Who would you most like us to take on? and who should we avoid at all costs!?

For me i want to avoid Zenit, Bremen and Sevilla. Zenit is miles and miles away in freezing cold Russia with plastic pitches - that alone screems NO NO NO. Werder Bremen will be difficult to beat as most German sides are physical and very well organised. And Sevilla are a good outfit, with some top players (Freddy Kanute)

I would love us to face Ajax - bringing Big Martin Jol back to WHL (I will always have a soft spot for BMJ). Celtic on the other hand could be an exciting game, even more so if Keano stops up there (although i doubt he'll be there next season)...

Who ever it is, Id say BRING EM ON! COME ON YOU SPURS!! WE ARE TOTTENHAM SUPER TOTTENHAM!! Why should we be afraid. We proved ourselves that 4th is ours! We've beaten Le Arse and The Scums! Let them come, and we shall break them down. I trust our players, This is their work and determination. If they dont fight for it. Its all over and we will be the biggest laughing stock ever. But nevertheless i still believe in them and i will say Who ever comes, sorry to say but we are going to Group Stages!! Hope we get Barca in our group ;D Then we can show our struts and see them at WHL!!! COME ON YOU SPURS!!

Add FC Porto, Mallorca, Lyon, CSKA Moscow and Olympiakos to the group of clubs above, and it makes it look a very tough draw. There are some good teams there!!!!

BUT....

We are Tottenham Hotspur!  >:D

Would take Celtic out of that lot in an instant, awful side.

With a few big summer signings though, I wouldn't fear anyone on that list. Going to Russia could be a bit dodgy though.

Word is that we are going to be seeded for the draw... so we should miss all the big teams

Really, considering this is our first time in the CL I wouldn't have thought so. Where did you hear it?
"It is better to fail aiming high than to succeed aimin low. And we of Spurs have set our sights very high, so high in fact that even failure will have in it an echo of glory."

"If you don't have to drag yourself off the field exhausted after 90 minutes, you can't claim to have done your best"
